OCT. 6, 2026 | Launch of ARAL Program in Mathematics

The Schools Division Office of Calaca City officially launched the Academic Recovery and Accessible Learning (ARAL) Program in Mathematics today, October 6, 2026, via an online division-wide orientation.

Under the theme “Angat ang Edukasyon, Dahil Tama ang Gawa sa Lungsod ng Calaca”, the program targets the recovery of learning gaps in Mathematics, ensures accessible and inclusive instruction, and strengthens teacher capabilities through standardized guidelines and ready-to-use learning materials.

The orientation covered four key sessions:

- ARAL-Math Guidelines and Implementation;
- Assessment, Profiling, and Progress Tracking;
- Governance, Roles, and Monitoring Plan; and
- Walkthrough of ARAL-Math Learning Materials

Facilitated by Ms. Maria Edwhena M. Araja, Education Program Supervisor – Mathematics, and supported by the SDO Calaca City top management, the program aligns with the division’s goal of delivering quality education where every learner masters essential numeracy skills.

FLAG RAISING CEREMONY AND OATH-TAKING OF DIVISION FEDERATED PTA OFFICERS

"A strong nation is built by citizens who stand united in purpose, service, and commitment."

The Schools Division Office of Calaca City gathered once again for its regular Flag Raising Ceremony, a meaningful occasion that reminds every public servant of their commitment to uphold the values of patriotism, integrity, accountability, and excellence in service. As the Philippine Flag was raised and honored, division personnel, school leaders, and stakeholders reaffirmed their shared responsibility in advancing quality education for every learner.

Adding significance to the ceremony was the Oath-Taking of the newly elected Division Federated PTA Officers, symbolizing the strengthening of partnerships between schools, parents, and communities. Their induction highlighted the vital role of parents as active partners in supporting programs and initiatives that contribute to the holistic development and academic success of learners.

On the third and final day of the Post-Planning for the Finalization of the FY 2027 Division Work and Financial Plan (WFP), the Schools Division Office of Calaca City successfully conducted the presentation and final review of the Division's major planning and budgeting documents.

Highlighted during the activity were the presentations of the Consolidated Work and Financial Plan, Consolidated Summary of All Programs, Projects, and Activities (PPAs), and the FY 2027 Calendar of Activities. These sessions provided an avenue for collaborative discussions, validation, and refinement of plans to ensure alignment with the Division's strategic directions, priorities, and resource requirements.

The three-day undertaking served as a vital platform for strengthening coordination among offices and units, promoting evidence-based planning, and ensuring that all proposed programs and activities contribute meaningfully to the realization of quality, accessible, and equitable education for every learner.

As the activity concludes, SDO Calaca City reaffirms its commitment to strategic governance, fiscal accountability, and excellence in public service through a well-crafted and responsive FY 2027 Work and Financial Plan.

SDO CALACA FINALIZES FY 2027 WORK AND FINANCIAL PLAN

The Schools Division Office (SDO) of Calaca successfully conducted the Post-Planning Finalization of the Fiscal Year (FY) 2027 Division Work and Financial Plan (WFP), bringing together all functional divisions and units to present, review, and consolidate their respective outputs in preparation for the implementation of priority programs, projects, and activities for FY 2027.

The activity served as a vital platform for collaborative planning, strategic alignment, and evidence-based decision-making. Representatives from the different functional divisions showcased their finalized Work and Financial Plans, ensuring that proposed interventions, targets, and budgetary requirements are responsive to the educational needs and priorities of the Division.

During the presentation, each division highlighted key initiatives, planned programs, performance targets, and resource allocations that support the realization of the Department of Education’s goals and the Division’s commitment to delivering quality, accessible, relevant, and inclusive basic education. Constructive discussions and technical reviews were conducted to ensure alignment with national directives, long-term development priorities, and available financial resources.

The finalization process emphasized transparency, accountability, and efficient resource utilization by validating proposed expenditures and ensuring that planned activities contribute directly to improved educational outcomes. Participants worked collectively to identify synergies among programs, eliminate duplications, and strengthen cross-functional collaboration across offices.

Division officials commended the dedication and professionalism demonstrated by all functional divisions in crafting comprehensive and strategic plans.
