Loraine Audrey P. Batalla, Gold Medalist sa 400-Meter Run ng Palarong Pambansa 2026
Taos-pusong pagbati kay Loraine Audrey T. Batalla sa pagwawagi ng Gold Medal sa 400m Run Finals bilang kinatawan ng CALABARZON sa Palarong Pambansa 2026.
Sa naitalang oras na 56.12 segundo, ipinamalas niya ang pambihirang bilis, disiplina, at determinasyon laban sa mahuhusay na atleta mula sa ibaโt ibang rehiyon sa bansa.
Kinikilala rin si G. Yourke F. Tamayo sa kanyang dedikasyon at mahusay na paggabay bilang training coach ng ating mga atletang Calambeรฑo.
Patuloy nating suportahan ang mga atletang nagbibigay karangalan sa Calamba, CALABARZON, at sa buong bansa.

A total of 977 teachers participate in the School-Based Training of Teachers on the Revised Grades 6, 9, and 10 Curriculum conducted simultaneously at three venues: Jose Rizal Memorial School, Calamba City Science Integrated School, and Bulwagang Rizal of the Division Office from May 26 to 29, 2026.
The training aims to deepen teachersโ understanding and strengthen their core competencies in content knowledge and pedagogy, curriculum planning, and assessment to ensure the effective implementation of the revised curriculum.
On the first day, participants focused on Understanding the Revised K to 10 Curriculum and the Kindergarten to Grade 10 Instructional Design Framework. Discussions highlighted key curriculum reforms and instructional approaches designed to improve teaching and learning outcomes.
Meanwhile, the second day centered on the curriculum deep dive, where participants internalized the Grade Level Learning Area Curriculum for Quarters 1, 2, 3, and 4. Teachers engaged in collaborative discussions and workshops to better align classroom instruction with curriculum standards and learning competencies.
Education Program Supervisors leading the sessions per learning area are Andrea C. Seรฑadoza for English, Lino T. Sanchez for Filipino, Rosemarie V. Magnaye for Mathematics, Cincy Merly B. Gecolea for Science, Marivic R. Calderon for Araling Panlipunan, Clariza G. Terones for GMRC/Values Education, Eder I. Gallego for Technology and Livelihood Education, and Joel I. Libranda for MAPEH.
Selected teachers, master teachers, school heads, and supervisors serve as learning facilitators and class managers throughout the four-day training.
Monitoring and Evaluation associates have also been designated per class under the supervision of SEPS Florette Laarni C. Bautista to ensure the smooth conduct and effective implementation of the training activities.
The training will conclude on May 29, 2026, with participants expected to prepare their workplace application plans to strengthen curriculum delivery in their respective schools.

Mayor Roseller 'Ross' H. Rizal, SDS Merthel M. Evardome, and OIC-ASDS Nadine C. Celindro expressed full support for the SDO Calamba City delegation during the kickoff of the 66th Palarong Pambansa at the Datu Lipus Makapandong DO Plaza Sports Complex in Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur on May 23, 2026.
Joining them in showing support for the athletes were DepEd CALABARZON Regional Director Carlito D. Rocafort and Assistant Regional Director Loida N. Nidea.
City and SDO officials participated in the opening activities and encouraged the Calambeรฑo athletes as they prepared to compete in the countryโs premier national sporting event for student-athletes.
The 66th Palarong Pambansa is hosted by the Provincial Government of Agusan del Sur under the leadership of Governor Santiago Cane Jr.
The week-long competition runs from May 24 to 31, 2026, with events taking place in Prosperidad, Bayugan City, Talacogon, San Francisco, Bunawan, Rosario, and Esperanza.
SDO Calamba City athletes are set to showcase their skills, discipline, and sportsmanship as they represent the division on the national stage.

The Schools Division of Calamba City, through the Schools Governance and Operations DivisionโYouth Formation Section, conducted the 2026 Youth Formators Convergence: Level-Up Service for Every Calambeรฑo Youth on May 21โ22, 2026, at the LLC Auditorium, Calamba Elementary School.
The first day highlighted project crafting, implementation, and management for youth PPAs, with insightful sessions led by Ms. Kristina G. Llangco, Youth Development Officer III of the City Government of Calamba; Mr. Dexter M. Palanas, Senior Education Program Specialist for Planning and Research; and Ms. Maria Laarni M. Casipe, Mental Health Focal Person from the City Health Office.
The second day featured the sharing of best practices by Mr. Percy Roy P. Roa, BKD Teacher-Coordinator of Calamba City Science Integrated School. This was followed by the recognition of outstanding learner organizations and teacher-advisers, who continue to inspire and nurture young Calambeรฑo leaders.
The two-day engagement culminated in a transformative recollection and team-building activity facilitated by partner organization GoalKeepers Character and Values Formation, strengthening the commitment of teacher-advisers to give their โpuso, galing, at talinoโ in service of every Calambeรฑo youth.

The Schools Division of Calamba City strengthened its commitment to inclusive education through the conduct of the 3-Day Teachersโ Training-Workshop Series, โPromoting Inclusive Practices for Diverse Learning Spaces,โ participated in by 100 receiving teachers across the division at Monte Vista Hot Spring and Conference Resort on May 21-23, 2026.
In her message, SDS Merthel M. Evardome, CESO V, emphasized the crucial role of teachers in developing learnersโ daily living and functional skills through inclusive and equitable learning opportunities.
On Day 1, resource speakers Dr. Enelyn T. Badillo, Dr. Pedrito H. Bolante, and Dr. Irene Lourdes Bernadette D. Medrano discussed behavior management, inclusive education trends, and Filipino Sign Language (FSL) parameters, equipping participants with practical strategies for diverse learning environments.
Day 2 featured workshops and demonstrations on the use of the Compendium of Teaching and Learning Resources on Filipino Sign Language across various learning areas facilitated by SNED teachers. Participants engaged in collaborative activities that strengthened inclusive and learner-centered teaching practices.
On the final day, participants demonstrated FSL integration in Mathematics and conducted demonstration teaching in Araling Panlipunan, Science, Filipino, English, and Mathematics, highlighting accessible communication and inclusive classroom instruction for learners with hearing impairment.
The PRC-accredited training concluded with reflection sessions and a closing program, where teachers expressed their commitment to creating inclusive, accessible, and responsive learning spaces for all learners.
