Tamoria to incoming RED Henry A. Adornado, PhD.

In his inspirational message, DENR Undersecretary for Field Operations and Line Bureaus Joselin Marcus E. Fragada commended RED Tamoria for his years of dedicated service and significant contributions to DENR CALABARZON, noting that the CALABARZON Region is among the Departmentโ€™s most demanding regions due to its rapid development, diverse ecosystems, numerous stakeholders, and complex environmental concerns. He emphasized that leadership movements within the Department are intended to maximize the strengths and potential of its officials while recognizing RED Tamoriaโ€™s accomplishments and the solid foundation he leaves behind.

USEC Fragada likewise expressed full confidence in RED Adornadoโ€™s ability to lead the region, citing his extensive experience in field operations and environmental governance. He called on DENR CALABARZON personnel to extend their full support to the new RED and reminded employees to continue upholding professionalism, integrity, and dedication in public service. He also underscored the importance of positively representing and promoting the Departmentโ€™s work, stressing that every employee plays a vital role in strengthening public trust and advancing DENRโ€™s environmental mandate.

DENR CALABARZONโ€™s new head, Dr. Adornado, brings extensive technical expertise and leadership experience to the role, having most recently served as the RED of DENR Region 10. He is a highly accomplished academic, holding a PhD in Environmental Science from the Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology and a Master of Science in Agriculture from Ibaraki University in Japan. His career at the DENR spans decades, including high-level assignments as the Director of the Ecosystems Research and Development Bureau and RED of DENR MIMAROPA. A licensed forester, his contributions have been recognized with numerous accolades, most notably the 2022 Environmental Awards for Governance and Leadership Excellence (EAGLE) and a congressional commendation for successful operations against illegal mining. #
