NAIC, CAVITE โ The Department of Migrant Workers Regional Office IV-A (DMW 4A) paid a courtesy visit to Hon. Rommel C. Magbitang, Municipal Mayor of Naic, Cavite, at the Naic Municipal Hall on June 2, 2026, to discuss initiatives and collaborative efforts aimed at enhancing the welfare, protection, and development of overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and their families in the municipality.
During the meeting, DMW 4A Regional Director Atty. April R. Casabuena highlighted DMW programs and services that support OFWs from pre-employment to reintegration. She also discussed the Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino (4PH) Program and the upcoming Housing Fair on June 25, 2026, which will provide OFWs and residents with information on housing opportunities, financing options, and government assistance programs to help them achieve homeownership and long-term stability.
Further, it was highlighted that various programs and services are available to Naiceรฑo OFWs, including employment facilitation, welfare assistance, skills development, reintegration support, and other government interventions aimed at empowering migrant workers and helping them achieve long-term economic stability.
Meanwhile, Mayor Rommel Magbitang expressed his full support for DMW 4Aโs initiatives and affirmed the Municipality of Naicโs commitment to collaborating with the Department in delivering programs and services that will benefit OFWs and their families. The courtesy visit highlighted the shared dedication of the Department and the local government to advancing the welfare and empowerment of OFWs through accessible and responsive government programs.
As part of its continuing mandate, the DMW 4A remains steadfast in strengthening partnerships with local government units throughout the CALABARZON region. Through sustained collaboration and community engagement, the Department continues to bring its programs and services closer to the people, ensuring that more OFWs, aspiring migrant workers, and their families are informed, protected, and provided with opportunities that will contribute to their growth, security, and overall well-being.

In partnership with the Universal Robina Corporation, the Department of Migrant Workers Regional Office IV-A CALABARZON (DMW 4A) provided free snacks and drinks to its clients and their families to continue the month-long celebration of the 31st National Migrant Workersโ Day, a treat that will remain available throughout the entire month of June.
This simple yet heartwarming gesture brought additional joy and comfort to OFWs and their families, reflecting the spirit of solidarity and a shared commitment to recognizing the invaluable contributions of Filipino migrant workers.
The DMW 4A extends its heartfelt gratitude to the Universal Robina Corporation for its partnership and support in making this meaningful celebration more memorable for our modern-day heroes.

Bilang bahagi ng pagsisimula ng pagdiriwang ng ika-31 anibersaryo ng National Migrant Workersโ Day, inimbitahan ng Department of Migrant Workers Regional Office IV-A CALABARZON (DMW 4A) ang I.M. Rich Food Products Manufacturing upang itampok ang kanilang mga lokal na produkto bilang suporta sa kanilang negosyo matapos ang pagtatrabaho sa ibang bansa.
Sa pangunguna ni dating OFW Yollie C. Perez, ang I.M. Rich Food Products Manufacturing o โTita Yollieโsโ ay isang kilalang MSME sa probinsiya ng Laguna na gumagawa ng de-kalidad na alamang at iba pang produktong pagkain. Nagsimula ang negosyo noong 2009 mula sa pagtitinda ng hilaw na mangga at sariling gawang alamang bilang sawsawan, na kalaunaโy lumago at tinangkilik ng maraming mamimili.
Sa pamamagitan ng Buy Lokal, By OFW, patuloy na nabibigyang pagkakataon ng DMW ang mga dating OFW na maitaguyod ang kanilang kabuhayan, maipalawak ang kanilang merkado, at magsilbing inspirasyon sa kapwa OFW na nagnanais magsimula ng sariling negosyo at matagumpay na makapagbagong-buhay sa sariling bayan.

In celebration of the 31st National Migrant Workersโ Day, the Department of Migrant Workers Regional Office IV-A CALABARZON (DMW 4A) formally commenced its activities on June 1, 2026, through various activities for overseas Filipino workers and their families.
As part of the kick-off activities, Atty. Kosen D. Exconde of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines served as the resource speaker and provided an informative discussion on the rights, welfare, and protection of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) under existing Philippine laws.
She highlighted the key provisions of Republic Acts No. 10022 and No. 11641, emphasizing ethical recruitment, safe and legal migration, protection against illegal recruitment and trafficking, available legal and welfare assistance, repatriation services, reintegration programs, and the vital role of government agencies in ensuring the well-being of Filipino migrant workers throughout their overseas employment journey.
As the nation commemorates National Migrant Workersโ Day, DMW 4A honors the invaluable contributions, sacrifices, and resilience of OFWs whose dedication continues to contribute significantly to the country's growth and development.

The Department of Migrant Workers Regional Office IV-A CALABARZON (DMW4A) successfully conducted back-to-back Anti-Illegal Recruitment and Trafficking in Persons (AIRTIP) seminars on May 28 and 29, 2026, for seasonal farm workers under the Seasonal Workers Program (SWP) from Batangas.
A total of 98 participants who are scheduled for deployment in June attended the activity, which focused on promoting safe, legal, and responsible overseas employment.
The seminar provided participants with important information on the dangers of illegal recruitment and human trafficking, including practical guidance on verifying legitimate job opportunities and protecting themselves from illegal recruiters.
The activity also reinforced the importance of awareness and preparedness in pursuing overseas employment opportunities. Through sustained information campaigns and advocacy initiatives, DMW4A remains committed to protecting the welfare and rights of Filipino migrant workers.

Sta. Rosa City, Laguna โ The Department of Migrant Workers Regional Office IV-A (DMW 4A) paid a courtesy call to the Office of Congressman Roy Gonzales on 28 May 2026 in Sta. Rosa City, Laguna, to discuss a crucial agenda benefiting Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and their families. The meeting underscored both offices' shared commitment to advancing programs and services that address OFWs' needs and concerns in the region.
The meeting focused on the potential establishment of the DMW Regional Office in CALABARZON to further enhance service delivery and ensure that reintegration programs and services are provided to its clientele and extended to its stakeholders.
Further, the DMW 4A team presented and promoted the LIKHAng Marino Business Plan Competition, which provides valuable support to returning seafarers who wish to venture into business. DMW 4A Regional Director Atty. April R. Casabuena noted that the initiative will provide crucial support for the reintegration of our OFWs through livelihood opportunities. She also highlighted other DMW programs, such as livelihood and financial assistance under the Enhanced Livelihood Program for OFW Reintegration (ELPOR).
Meanwhile, Cong. Gonzales expressed support for initiatives to improve OFWs' welfare and assured continued coordination with DMW RO IV-A on future programs and activities that would directly benefit migrant workers and their families in the district.
The courtesy visit reaffirmed the Regional Officeโs commitment to strengthening partnerships to ensure that responsive, accessible, and sustainable reintegration services reach every OFW in the region.
