Concluding Five Days of Tactical Excellence and Readiness
In line with the commitment of BJMP CALABARZON Region, under the dynamic leadership of JCSUPT ISABELO V CARTIN JR, DSC, MBA, in strengthening the tactical capability and operational preparedness of its personnel, the Closing Ceremony of the Special Tactics and Response (STAR) Team Tactical Enhancement Capability Training was successfully conducted following five days of intensive and specialized training.
Twenty-six (26) members of the BJMP CALABARZON STAR Team underwent a series of competency-enhancement activities, including Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Awareness and Response, Probaton Handling and Defensive Tactics, Shotgun Proficiency Firing, Rifle Marksmanship Training, and Pistol Drills, held at the Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) Shooting Range, Poblacion, Muntinlupa City.
The activity featured the impression message of JSINSP JOHN PAUL B BORIGAS, STAR Team Leader, who highlighted the valuable knowledge, skills, and experiences gained throughout the training. Certificates and tokens were likewise awarded in recognition of the participants’ dedication and successful completion of the program.
The ceremony concluded with a message from JCSUPT ISABELO V CARTIN JR, DSC, MBA, Regional Director of the Jail Bureau, who emphasized the importance of continuous learning, discipline, teamwork, and preparedness in ensuring effective tactical response and safe, secure, and orderly jail operations.

BJMP CALABARZON Promotes Bayanihan through Brigada Eskwela 2026 Participation and Feeding Program
BJMP CALABARZON Region, under the community-responsive leadership of JCSUPT ISABELO V CARTIN JR, DSC, MBA, through the Regional Community Relations Service Section (RCRSS) under the supervision of its Chief, JSINSP MORRISON D IMINGAN, together with RCRSS personnel and Jail Officer 1 Trainees, actively participated in the Opening Program of Brigada Eskwela 2026 and conducted a feeding program at Turbina National High School.
This initiative aims to strengthen the spirit of bayanihan and collective responsibility in preparing the school for a safe, clean, and orderly opening of classes for School Year 2026–2027. Through this collaborative effort, BJMP CALABARZON reaffirms its commitment to community engagement and support for educational institutions in fostering a conducive learning environment for students.

Purpose-Driven Service Begins with a Clear Direction 🇵🇭
BJMP CALABARZON Region, under the dynamic leadership of JCSUPT ISABELO V CARTIN JR, DSC, MBA, conducted its regular Monday Flag Raising Ceremony at the 5th Floor Conference Hall, BJMPRO-CALABARZON, Brgy. Turbina, Calamba City, Laguna.
As part of the Values Restoration Program, JSUPT ADELAIDA A TABURADA, Chief of the Program Development Division, shared the Values Focus of the Week: Purposefulness, emphasizing the importance of having a clear sense of direction, commitment, and dedication in carrying out one’s duties and responsibilities. She underscored that in public service, we are guided by a deeper purpose—not merely to comply with rules and requirements, but to understand why we serve, who we serve, and the impact of our actions. Work becomes more meaningful when anchored on purpose, turning routine tasks into intentional acts of service for the organization and the people we are sworn to serve.
Administrative announcements and personnel-related updates were likewise delivered by JCINSP LUISA L DIONELA, Chief of the Personnel and Records Management Division.
The activity concluded with the traditional blowing of candles by the June birthday celebrants, fostering camaraderie and recognition among personnel.

Advancing Specialized Tactical Competence Through Capability Enhancement Training
In line with the commitment of BJMP CALABARZON Region, under the dynamic leadership of JCSUPT ISABELO V CARTIN JR, DSC, MBA, to continuously strengthen the operational readiness and tactical proficiency of its personnel, twenty-six (26) members of the Special Tactics and Response (STAR) Team successfully completed the 5-Day STAR Team Tactical Enhancement Capability Training held at the Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) Shooting Range, Poblacion, Muntinlupa City.
Conducted under the supervision of JSUPT REYNO M DAMASO, Regional Chief of Directorial Staff, and the leadership of JSINSP JOHN PAUL B BORIGAS, STAR Team Leader, the training focused on enhancing the participants’ knowledge, skills, and competencies in specialized tactical operations.
Training modules included HRT or High Risk PDL TRANSPORT Training, Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Awareness and Response, Probaton Handling and Defensive Tactics, Shotgun Familiarization and Proficiency Firing, Rifle Marksmanship Training, and Pistol Drills and Combat Shooting Fundamentals. These activities were designed to strengthen fi****ms proficiency, tactical discipline, operational coordination, and response capability in various security and critical incident scenarios.
Through continuous capability enhancement initiatives, BJMP CALABARZON remains steadfast in developing highly trained, competent, and mission-ready STAR Team personnel capable of effectively supporting the Bureau’s mandate of maintaining safe, secure, and orderly jail operations.

Enhancing Operational Readiness Through Civil Disturbance Management Training
In line with the commitment of BJMP CALABARZON Region, under the dynamic leadership of JCSUPT ISABELO V CARTIN JR, DSC, MBA, in strengthening operational preparedness and tactical capability of personnel, the Closing Ceremony of the Civil Disturbance Management (CDM) Training was successfully conducted after three days of intensive training at the National Jail Management and Penology Training Institute (NJMPTI) Grandstand, Camp Vicente Lim, Calamba City, Laguna.
The activity featured the CDM Formation Demonstration and Crowd Dispersal Exercises, showcasing the participants’ discipline, coordination, and tactical readiness in handling civil disturbance situations and maintaining public order.
The ceremony also included the Awarding of Certificates and Special Recognition, as well as the impression message from the Most Senior of the Class, highlighting the valuable learnings and experiences gained throughout the training.
The activity concluded with the message of JCSUPT CARTIN, who emphasized the importance of professionalism, preparedness, teamwork, and continuous capability enhancement in ensuring safe, secure, and orderly jail operations.
