๐—”๐˜‚๐—ด๐˜‚๐˜€๐˜ ๐Ÿญ๐Ÿฐ, ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฌ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฑ โ€“ Mr. Patrick D. Cusi, Assistant Proffessor 1 and TESDA Coordinator of City College of Calapan (CCC), met with the Language Skills Institute (LSI) Center Manager and Staff to pursue collaboration and plans for IT-related Trainings and English Language Proficiency Training for CCC students.

The partnership aims to bring IT-related training and English Language Proficiency program to CCC studentsโ€”empowering them with the skills needed for enhancing competencies, and preparing graduates for future employment opportunities.

This collaboration marks another step towards broadening access to quality training programs that support the professional and personal growth of CCC learners.

Bandalaria, Program Chairperson of the Bachelor of Secondary Education at Divine Word College of Calapan (DWCC), visited the Language Skills Institute (LSI) to finalize and confirm the schedule and training requirements for the upcoming English Language Training. The program is proposed to open on the first week of September and will cater to both Bachelor of Secondary and Elementary Education graduating students of DWCC, equipping them with enhanced communication skills for their academic and professional journey.

The orientation aimed to provide the trainees with an understanding of the Language Skills Institute (LSI), its training policies and guidelines, available support services, and the overall structure and expectations of the course they are enrolled in. Key topics discussed included the objectives of the program, the roles and responsibilities of both trainees and instructors, the schedule of training sessions, and the assessment and certification process.
The session also introduced the LSI administrative staff and trainers. Participants were given the opportunity to raise questions and clarifications, ensuring that they are fully prepared and informed before the official start of the training program.
The orientation was facilitated through an online conferencing platform to ensure accessibility and participation across various locations in the province. The event marked the official onboarding of ACCENTO 25-2 trainees into the LSI.

Palomaria in critical thinking and the 4 Components of teamwork. The session aimed to strengthen the staff to function effectively as a team, achieve common goal and maintain a quality performance. Four (4) student immersionist from Divine Word College of Calapan (DWCC) joined the staff in the activity.

The workshop took off with the staff and immersionists grouped into homogeneous and heterogeneous teams. In the first activity, participants were divided into two homogeneous groups: the staff comprised the first group, while the immersionists formed the second. The objective of this activity was to encourage participants to perceive beyond the obvious. A picture was presented, and each group was given a short period to observe, describe, and draw conclusions based on what they saw. After the activity, both groups presented their outputs.

For the second activity, participants were reorganized into three small heterogeneous groups, mixing both staff and immersionists. This setup aimed to determine which type of groupingโ€”homogeneous or heterogeneousโ€”would be more productive. Each group was instructed to listen carefully to a scenario described by the facilitator, showing the previously observed picture. The objective of this task was to challenge participants to accomplish a common goal within a very limited time frame.

During the workshop phase, all 3 small groups demonstrated critical thinking and decision-making skills, strategizing as a team to achieve their objective. Their presentations showcased excellent teamwork, highlighting their communication, cooperation, competence, and commitment, which are the 4Cโ€™s of TEAMWORK.
Ms. Palomaria emphasized the importance of fostering a collaborative work environment where team members can communicate openly, support each other, and continuously develop their skills. She also provided constructive feedback and actionable strategies to help staff overcome challenges and enhance their professional growth. The session concluded with reflections and goal-setting activities to encourage continuous improvement and commitment to excellence.
