The Regional Development Council (RDC) MIMAROPA convened the Regional Legislative-Executive Advisory (LEA) Meeting with Congressional District Representatives of MIMAROPA and their Chiefs of Staff, Department of Budget and Management MIMAROPA, Regional Directors and representatives from 11 regional line agencies and local government units, and discussed the highlights of the RDC-endorsed FY 2027 priority programs and projects (PAPs) for the region. The activity aimed to facilitate inter-agency coordination and secure legislative support for the inclusion of these priority PAPs in the proposed General Appropriations Act for FY 2027.

๐๐๐: The ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐ฎ๐๐ซ๐ญ๐๐ซ ๐๐๐ ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐๐ฅ ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฃ๐๐๐ญ ๐๐จ๐ง๐ข๐ญ๐จ๐ซ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐จ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ข๐ญ๐ญ๐๐ (๐๐๐๐) ๐๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐ is convening regional line agencies and local government partners to discuss the CY 2026 First Quarter RPMES Report, where 427 projects worth โฑ59.42 billion were reported by 28 implementing agencies; Updates on the Mindoro Island Circumferential Road and Mindoro Cross Island Road projects, as well as local project monitoring initiatives in MIMAROPA, are also being discussed to strengthen infrastructure development, coordination, and project implementation across the region.

๐๐๐: The ๐๐จ๐๐ข๐๐ฅ ๐๐๐ฏ๐๐ฅ๐จ๐ฉ๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ ๐๐จ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ข๐ญ๐ญ๐๐ (๐๐๐) holds its second quarter meeting today, with key education, health, housing, and social protection concerns in the region being discussed on the floor.
Among the agenda items are the proposed Project ACQUIRE of DepEd, the conversion of LGU hospitals, and updates on major ODA projects.
The Committee is also tackling initiatives under the Unified Package for Livelihoods, Industry, Food, and Transport (UPLIFT) Framework, updates on migration and development and on the National Housing Program, and the regionโs latest economic performance.

The Committee is having discussions on key regional infrastructure and development initiatives, including ferry connectivity, updates on the BatangasโMindoro Interconnection and Backbone Project, ongoing initiatives of various agencies under the Unified Package for Livelihoods, Industry, Food, and Transport (UPLIFT), among others, toward a more connected, resilient, and sustainable MIMAROPA Region.

The Economic Development Committee (EDC) of the MIMAROPA Regional Development Council convenes its Second Quarter Meeting to tackle socio- economic concerns and strategic development initiatives in the region.
Key agenda items include the ongoing initiatives of economic sector agencies under the Unified Package for Livelihoods, Industry, Food, and Transport (UPLIFT); the effects of El Niรฑo and increasing fertilizer prices on the regionโs palay production; and the OBRA MIMAROPA Trade Show, which will showcase the regionโs finest products, creative talents, and tourism destinations.

UPLIFT is a coordinated, whole-of-government response to the ongoing energy crisis.
Other matters to be discussed include the creation of MIMAROPA Trabaho Para sa Bayan Inter-Agency Committee (TPB-IAC) and the security measures of Paleng-QR Ph Plus Program, among others.
