ILAGAN CITY, ISABELA — Daan-daang dating rebelde, katutubo, sundalo, at mga residente mula sa Geographically Isolated and Disadvantaged Areas (GIDAs) sa Northern Luzon ang makikinabang sa libreng skills training at livelihood opportunities. Ito ay matapos magsanib-puwersa ang Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Isabela School of Arts and Trades, at ang 502nd Infantry “Liberator” Brigade sa pamumuno ni BGEN RHODERICK L PARALLAG PA sa pamamagitan ng nilagdaang Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) noong Mayo 5, 2026.

Sa ilalim ng kasunduan na sumusuporta sa pangkabuhayang programa ng administrasyong Marcos, ang TESDA ang magbibigay ng de-kalidad at competency-based training, mga pasilidad, at certified trainers.

Layunin ng programang ito na mabigyan ng sapat na kaalaman, kasanayan, at oportunidad sa kabuhayan ang mga benepisyaryo upang mapaunlad ang kanilang pamumuhay, mapalakas ang kanilang kakayahang pangkabuhayan, at maisulong ang pangmatagalang kapayapaan at kaunlaran sa mga komunidad sa Northern Luzon.

Isang malaking hakbang para sa pangmatagalang kapayapaan at mas ligtas na pamayanan ang naisagawa sa South Upi, Maguindanao del Sur noong Mayo 14, kung saan 48 na baril na walang lisensya ang kusang isinuko ng mga residente.

Ito ay kasabay ng opisyal na paglunsad ng Small Arms and Light Weapons Management Program — proyekto ng lokal na pamahalaan, OPAPRU at 57th Infantry Battalion — na nagpapatunay ng lumalaking tiwala, pagkakaisa at pagtutulungan ng mamamayan at mga awtoridad para sa kaayusan sa komunidad.

On May 30, 2026 at about 8:00 AM, personnel of TSC, RMFB MIMAROPA, led by PCpl Jestonie Bacwadang Apongao, Team Member, under the supervision of PCPT JUN MIGUEL C SANTIANO, Officer-In-Charge, organized and conducted the Squad Weekly Interactive Meeting (SWIM), officiated by Pastor Ding Pama, Life Coach.
The focus of the meeting was to reflect upon and discuss the Bible verse Isaiah 59:1-2 states: "Surely the arm of the LORD is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear. But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear." The meeting was held at TSC compound, Camp BGen Efigenio C Navarro, Suqui, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro.
The activity aimed to foster unity and camaraderie among personnel while strengthening their moral and spiritual foundation. It also served as a venue for open communication and mutual support, ultimately contributing to the holistic growth and resilience of PNP personnel in the fulfillment of their sworn duties.
