CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro โ Three wanted persons, including Oriental Mindoroโs Rank No. 1 and Rank No. 5 Most Wanted Persons at the provincial level, were arrested in separate manhunt operations conducted by operatives of the Police Regional Office MIMAROPA (PRO MIMAROPA) in Oriental Mindoro and Batangas on May 14, 2026.
The successful operations were carried out under the leadership of PRO MIMAROPA Acting Regional Director PBGEN Christopher Ramos Dela Cruz as part of the commandโs continuing campaign against wanted persons under the โF.I.G.H.T. C.R.I.M.E.S.โ framework, which strengthens intelligence-driven operations, operational coordination, and public safety initiatives across the region.
Authorities successfully arrested the Rank No. 1 Most Wanted Person at the provincial level facing charges for statutory r**e during a focused manhunt operation conducted in Naujan, Oriental Mindoro through coordinated intelligence and tracking efforts of the operating units.
In a separate operation, sustained monitoring and targeted manhunt efforts likewise resulted in the apprehension of the Rank No. 5 Most Wanted Person at the provincial level wanted for qualified r**e during an operation conducted in Bulalacao, Oriental Mindoro.
Meanwhile, joint operatives from Bongabong Municipal Police Station as lead unit, together with San Luis Municipal Police Station, PIU 2nd PIT Batangas, RIU4B PIT, and Western MLET RMU4A, successfully arrested another wanted person in Barangay Bagong Tubig, San Luis, Batangas for the crime of homicide by virtue of a warrant issued by the court with recommended bail amounting to โฑ120,000.
The successful operations highlighted PRO MIMAROPAโs strengthened inter-unit coordination, operational readiness, and continuing commitment to intensify the campaign against wanted persons and ensure that individuals facing criminal charges are brought before the court of law.
โThese accomplishments reflect the dedication, coordination, and relentless efforts of our operating units in locating wanted persons and strengthening public safety across the region,โ PBGEN Dela Cruz said.
โWe will continue sustaining aggressive and intelligence-driven manhunt operations to ensure that wanted persons are located, arrested, and brought before the courts as part of our continuing commitment to public safety and the rule of law,โ he added.
All arrested individuals are currently under police custody while appropriate legal documentation and procedural requirements are being undertaken by the concerned operating units.

CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro โ A former Vice Platoon Leader of the Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) voluntarily surrendered to authorities in Magsaysay, Occidental Mindoro on May 14, 2026, marking another significant development in the continuing peace and reintegration efforts of the Police Regional Office MIMAROPA (PRO MIMAROPA) against insurgency in the region.
The surrender was successfully facilitated through strengthened intelligence monitoring, sustained inter-agency coordination, and focused community engagement initiatives under the leadership of PRO MIMAROPA Acting Regional Director PBGEN Christopher Ramos Dela Cruz.
The former rebel, a 33-year-old farmer from Occidental Mindoro, voluntarily surrendered at around 4:10 PM in Barangay Lourdes, Magsaysay, Occidental Mindoro.
Based on reports, the former CTG member became involved in the underground movement in 2007 while residing and working in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan, and later assumed responsibilities as a Vice Platoon Leader within the organization before eventually going on lie-low status in 2013 and deciding to peacefully return to the fold of the law.
The successful surrender was made possible through the collaborative efforts of PIT Occidental Mindoro as lead unit, together with Magsaysay Municipal Police Station, Occidental Mindoro Police Provincial Office, CIDG IG, RIT Occidental Mindoro RID MIMAROPA, 405th Maneuver Company of RMFB 4B, Provincial Government of Palawan โ Peace and Security Cluster Intelligence, PIU and PECU of Occidental Mindoro PPO, FSOL 3011CIS PAF, 301SMG, 300AISW PAF, 76th Infantry Battalion, 4th Infantry Battalion, and the Civil Military Operations Unit of the 203rd Brigade, Philippine Army.
Since January this year, a total of 34 CTG personalities in the MIMAROPA region have voluntarily surrendered to authorities, including one individual listed in the Periodic Status Report (PSR), reflecting the continuing gains of the governmentโs peace and reintegration initiatives across the region.
PBGEN Dela Cruz emphasized that the latest surrender highlights the effectiveness of sustained engagement efforts, strengthened inter-agency collaboration, and community-based peacebuilding initiatives in encouraging former rebels to abandon armed struggle and peacefully reintegrate into mainstream society.
โThis development reflects the growing trust and confidence of former CTG members in the governmentโs sincerity to help them begin a new and peaceful life. Through strengthened collaboration and community-based engagement, we continue to open opportunities for reconciliation, healing, and reintegration,โ PBGEN Dela Cruz said.
โPeace is strengthened when individuals choose to return to their families, communities, and the rule of law. PRO MIMAROPA will continue working with partner agencies and local stakeholders to help former rebels rebuild safer, more productive, and peaceful lives,โ he added.
The MIMAROPA Top Cop likewise encouraged remaining CTG members to abandon armed struggle and avail themselves of the governmentโs Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP) to help them rebuild peaceful and productive lives with their families and communities.
The surrendered former CTG member is currently under the custody of PIT Occidental Mindoro and RIU 4B for documentation and custodial debriefing prior to processing for enrollment in the E-CLIP.

CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro โ Sustaining aggressive anti-illegal drug operations across the region, joint operatives of the Police Regional Office MIMAROPA (PRO MIMAROPA) and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) arrested a High-Value Individual (HVI) and confiscated approximately โฑ168,640 worth of suspected shabu during a coordinated anti-drug operation in Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro on May 14, 2026.
The arrested individual, a 33-year-old resident of Calapan City, was identified by authorities as a High-Value Individual (HVI) listed under the regional drug watchlist.
The operation was conducted at around 9:00 PM in Sitio Wireless, Barangay Bulusan, Calapan City through the coordinated efforts of PDEA Regional Office MIMAROPA as lead unit, together with personnel of Calapan City Police Station and the Regional Drug Enforcement Unit (RDEU).
Investigation disclosed that an operative acting as poseur-buyer successfully purchased one heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be methamphetamine hydrochloride, commonly known as โshabu,โ from the suspect in exchange for โฑ3,000 buy-bust money.
Subsequent search and recovery operations resulted in the confiscation of two additional sachets containing suspected shabu.
Authorities estimated the total weight of the recovered suspected illegal drugs at approximately 24.8 grams with an estimated Standard Drug Price value of โฑ168,640. Buy-bust money used during the operation was likewise recovered by the operating teams.
The recovered pieces of evidence were properly inventoried and marked in the presence of the required witnesses in accordance with existing operational and legal procedures.
PRO MIMAROPA Acting Regional Director PBGEN Christopher Ramos Dela Cruz said the successful operation reflects the continuing coordination and operational synergy between law enforcement agencies in suppressing illegal drug activities and protecting communities from the harmful effects of illegal substances.
โLaw enforcement operations against illegal drugs will remain aggressive, intelligence-driven, and relentless. We will continue to target individuals who contribute to the proliferation of illegal drugs and threaten the safety of our communities,โ PBGEN Dela Cruz said.

The confiscated drug evidence is now under the custody of PDEA RO-MIMAROPA for laboratory examination, while the arrested individual remains under police custody for documentation and filing of appropriate charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro โ Intensified manhunt operations of the Police Regional Office MIMAROPA (PRO MIMAROPA) led to the arrest of the Rank No. 2 Most Wanted Person at the provincial level during a coordinated law enforcement operation conducted in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan on May 13, 2026.
The 68-year-old suspect, a resident of Puerto Princesa City, was apprehended at around 9:55 AM in Purok Pag-Asa, Barangay Macarascas through the joint efforts of personnel from Puerto Princesa City Police Station 4 as lead unit, together with the City Mobile Force Company, CIT/PIT Palawan RIU 4B, and ODI TOW WEST of the Philippine Air Force.
The arrest was carried out by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest issued by the court for three (3) counts of Qualified R**e of a Minor under Republic Act 8353 in relation to Republic Act 11648, docketed under Criminal Case Nos. 45319, 45320, and 45321, with no recommended bail.
The successful operation was conducted under the leadership of PRO MIMAROPA Acting Regional Director PBGEN Christopher Ramos Dela Cruz as part of the intensified manhunt campaign and sustained law enforcement operations against wanted persons involved in heinous crimes across the region.
โThis successful operation reflects the relentless efforts, coordination, and commitment of our operating units in locating and arresting wanted persons, particularly individuals facing serious criminal charges,โ PBGEN Dela Cruz said.

The arrested individual is currently under the custody of Puerto Princesa City Police Station 4 for documentation and proper disposition.
