𝐏𝐍𝐏𝐊𝐈 𝐏𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐚 𝐒𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐒𝐔

DICT Oriental Mindoro successfully conducted the PNPKI Orientation and Users Training – Batch 2 for Mindoro State University on June 2, 2026 via MS Teams, bringing together participants from the Calapan, Bongabong, and Victoria Campuses. The activity provided a comprehensive discussion on the use of digital certificates, secure authentication, and electronic document signing through the Philippine National Public Key Infrastructure (PNPKI).

The training aimed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to utilize PNPKI services effectively, fostering secure and trusted digital transactions within the university. Through continuous capacity-building initiatives, institutions are better prepared to embrace digital transformation while strengthening cybersecurity practices.

DICT Oriental Mindoro extends its sincere appreciation to all participants from the three campuses for their active engagement and commitment throughout the training. Special thanks are also given to the university administrators, coordinators, and organizers whose support and collaboration contributed to the successful conduct of this initiative. Together, we continue to advance secure and trusted digital services in the education sector.

The DICT Oriental Mindoro successfully conducted a three-day training and workshop entitled Arduino Essentials: A Hands-on Training on Basics and Core Concepts held on May 20–22, 2026 at Puerto Galera National High School.

The activity aimed to introduce participants to the fundamentals of Arduino programming, electronics, and circuit design through interactive discussions and practical hands-on activities. Students and participants were able to explore the basic components, coding principles, and real-world applications of Arduino technology, enhancing their knowledge and skills in innovation and digital technology.

This initiative reflects DICT’s continued commitment to empowering the youth and promoting digital literacy, creativity, and technological advancement in the community.

The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) continues to support the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) in the conduct of the Special Cash Relief Assistance payout for service delivery riders in Oriental Mindoro.

As part of the whole-of-government effort, DICT is providing assistance to help ensure an organized and efficient payout process for riders affected by the energy emergency.

The payout is currently being held at Brgy. Pachoca Covered Court in Calapan City, where around 410 riders from different municipalities of Oriental Mindoro are expected to receive financial assistance.

Across the MIMAROPA Region, a total of 1,513 riders are targeted to benefit from the cash assistance initiative under the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to provide immediate support and help riders continue their livelihood.

DICT remains committed in supporting government initiatives that deliver responsive, efficient, and people-centered public service.
