Witness the heavenly arch and the angelic beauty of CCM's Reyna del Cielo (Queen of Heavens) as Catholic Campus Ministry takes part on the first ever MCC Sagala: Grand Santacruzan of Mindoro State University.

Today we are celebrating Valentine’s day. We give flowers, chocolates and letters to our loved ones.

Pero, ngayong araw na ito, naalala man lang ba natin ang tunay na rason kung bakit tayo nagmamahal? Naalala ba natin kung sino ang unang nagmahal satin, ipinako sa krus at tinubos tayo sa mga kasalanan?

Magmuni-muni ka..

Kailan yung unang beses mong naramdaman ang pagmamahal ng Diyos sayo?

Alam mo ba kung bakit tayo nagdiriwang ng Valentine’s Day? Kung hindi pa, take time to read this! 👇🏻

Si Saint Valentine ay isang Paring Martyr and he was considered as the 3rd Century Roman Saint ng Catholic church after the death of Jesus Christ. Siya ay patron ng engaged-couples, happy marriages, love, young people, and ng epilepsy. ❤️

Ang buhay ni St. Valentine ay punong puno ng pagsubok. Sa katunayan ay inaresto siya at dinala sa Roma sa ilalim ng pamumuno ni Emperor Claudius II sapagkat sinikap niyang iconvert ang mga tao into Christians noong panahong iyon sa pamununo ni Emperor Claudius II. Ayaw ni Emperor na maconvert ang mga tao sa pagiging Kristiyano noong panahon niya sapagkat ninanais niya na mapasakanya ang pagsamba ng tao, at hindi kay Kristo, at dahil doon, minarapat niyang ipakulong si St.Valentine upang hindi na niya mahikayat ang mga tao sa Kristiyanismo.

Sa loob ng kulungan, hindi natigil ang kanyang pagmimisyon, sa katunayan, napagaling niya ang anak ng isang Jailer na babae sa pagkabulag. Naging malapit silang magkaibigan noon at nung dumating na ang araw ng kanyang ex*****on o kamatayan, sumulat siya ng isang letter sa Jailer’s daughter na may nakalagay na, “Your Valentine”.

Pinatay at pinutulan siya ng ulo sa Flaminia Gate noong February 14, 269.
Iba pang mga istorya sa kasayaayan ang nagsabi na si St. Valentine ay nagkakasal din ng mga couples noong panahon niya na siyang mas lalong ikinagalit ni Emperor Claudius II.
