β€œEmpowering Second Chances: Strengthening Inter-Agency Collaboration for Livelihood and Education Access of Probationers and Parolees”

On April 7, 2026, the Calapan City Parole and Probation Office (PPO) successfully conducted a series of coordination meetings with key partner agencies to strengthen the implementation of its Livelihood and Education Access Program for probationers and parolees under its supervision. This initiative reflects the office’s continuing commitment to rehabilitation, reintegration, and empowerment of its clients through sustainable opportunities.

A warm and positive reception from the concerned agencies marked the activity. The office was graciously welcomed by Sir Renato T. Dela Cruz Jr., Provincial Director of TESDA Oriental Mindoro, who expressed strong support for providing technical skills training that will enhance the employability of clients.

Likewise, Sir Dennis A. Bermoy, Education Program Supervisor of DepEd ALS, conveyed his commitment to extend educational opportunities through the Alternative Learning System (ALS), enabling clients to continue and complete their basic education.

In addition, Ms. Kat I. Isla, Labor and Employment Officer II of the Department of Labor and Employment, actively supported the initiative by facilitating access to livelihood programs and employment opportunities tailored to the needs of the clients.

The coordination efforts resulted in a strengthened partnership among the agencies, paving the way for a more comprehensive and responsive delivery of services. Through this collaboration, probationers and parolees are given better chances to rebuild their lives, acquire new skills, pursue education, and ultimately become productive members of society.

This successful engagement underscores the importance of inter-agency cooperation in achieving meaningful and lasting community-based rehabilitation.

DOLE TUPAD Orientation for the Clients of Calapan City PPO

On March 31, 2026, the Calapan City Parole and Probation Office successfully conducted an orientation for beneficiaries of the DOLE TUPAD.

This activity was made possible through the office’s continuous coordination and collaboration with partner agencies, reaffirming its commitment to support its clients and strengthen their rehabilitation journey.

Representatives from the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Oriental Mindoro Provincial Office facilitated the session, discussing key details about the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) programβ€”including the application process, the duties of each beneficiary, and guidelines to ensure meaningful, safe, and productive community work.

Clients under the rehabilitation program of Calapan City PPO attended the orientation, recognizing it as an important opportunity to gain livelihood support while demonstrating their commitment to positive transformation and reintegration.

The Calapan City PPO expresses its deep appreciation to DOLE and all participating clients for their active involvement. The office remains dedicated to empowering its clients toward becoming responsible, productive, and community-minded individuals.

Rehabilitees Sending-Off Ceremony

On April 1, 2026, a Sending-Off Ceremony for rehabilitees was held at Tamaraw Hall, Provincial Capitol Complex, Calapan City. The activity was organized by the Oriental Mindoro Rehabilitation and Recovery Center to celebrate the successful completion of the participants’ six-month rehabilitation program.

The event marked a significant milestone in the lives of the rehabilitees, symbolizing not only the end of their structured recovery program but also the beginning of their renewed journey toward personal growth, sustained recovery, and reintegration into their respective communities.

The ceremony was attended by various stakeholders and invited guests, including SPPO Ivan D. Loisaga, Officer-in-Charge of the Calapan City Parole and Probation Office, who graced the occasion and delivered a special message to the rehabilitees. In his speech, SPPO/OIC Loisaga commended the participants for their perseverance, discipline, and courage throughout the rehabilitation process. He emphasized the importance of maintaining a strong support system, making responsible life choices, and staying committed to their recovery goals despite the challenges they may face outside the facility.

Furthermore, he encouraged the rehabilitees to become agents of positive change in their communities, inspiring others through their transformation and serving as living proof that recovery is possible with determination and support.

The activity concluded with a sense of hope and optimism, as the rehabilitees were formally sent off, equipped with the tools, values, and renewed mindset necessary to rebuild their lives and contribute meaningfully to society.
