CALAPAN CITY PPO ATTENDS STATE OF THE CITY ADDRESS 2026

The Calapan City Parole and Probation Office, headed by Supervising Probation and Parole Officer/Officer-in-Charge Ivan D. Loisaga, attended the State of the City Address (SOCA) of Hon. Paulino Salvador “Doy” C. Leachon, Mayor of Calapan City, on October 1, 2026, at the Calapan City Coliseum.
Representing the office were SPPO/OIC Ivan D. Loisaga, together with COS Niño James Nicko L. Asi.

The event provided an opportunity for local government offices, National Government Agencies (NGAs), and other stakeholders to be informed of the City Government’s accomplishments, programs, and continuing initiatives for the development and welfare of the people of Calapan City.

The Calapan City PPO remains committed to strengthening coordination and partnership with the City Government of Calapan and other stakeholders in support of the Administration’s mandate on probation, parole, rehabilitation, and community-based corrections.

The Department of Justice – Parole and Probation Administration (DOJ–PPA), MIMAROPA Region (Region IV-B) invites interested and qualified applicants to apply for the position of Driver (Job Order Personnel).

Qualifications:
• Must possess a valid Professional Driver’s License
• Familiar with local routes
• Physically fit
• With good moral character
• Willing to work on a Job Order basis

CALAPAN CITY PPO HONORS GIP TRAINEES ON THEIR LAST DAY OF SERVICE

Calapan City Parole and Probation Office, led by SPPO/OIC Ivan D. Loisaga, held a simple treat and fellowship for its Government Internship Program (GIP) trainees on September 28, 2026, marking their last day of service at the office.
The GIP trainees rendered their internship from March 16 to September 28, 2026, actively assisting the office in various activities and contributing to the delivery of probation and parole services.

As a simple gesture of appreciation, the personnel of Calapan City PPO gathered with the GIP trainees for a meal and fellowship. The occasion also coincided with the observance of “Kainang Pamilya Mahalaga” Day pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 136, where everyone shared a meal together and celebrated the value of family, togetherness, and meaningful relationships.

Beyond their service, the GIP trainees became part of the Calapan City PPO family. Their dedication, assistance, and positive presence in the workplace will surely be remembered.

CALAPAN CITY PPO WELCOMES CRIMINOLOGY STUDENT-INTERNS

September 28, 2026 | Calapan City

The Calapan City Parole and Probation Office, headed by SPPO/OIC Ivan D. Loisaga, welcomed Criminology student-interns from the Divine Word College of Calapan (DWCC) and Mindoro State University (MinSU) during an orientation and onboarding activity held on September 28, 2026.
The student-interns were formally turned over to the Office by their respective Internship Advisers, marking the start of their practical learning experience in the field of community-based corrections.
As part of the activity, the trainees were introduced to the personnel of the Calapan City PPO and oriented on the nature, functions, and responsibilities of the Parole and Probation Administration, particularly in the areas of investigation, supervision, rehabilitation, and reintegration.
The student-interns were also briefed on the Office's rules, ethical standards, confidentiality requirements, and security protocols. Given the sensitive nature of PPA operations, strict compliance with these protocols is emphasized from day one.
Prior to placement, student applicants undergo HR screening and an interview process. Upon selection, each trainee signs an OJT Agreement and Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) as part of the formal onboarding process.
The trainees were then assigned to their respective Probation and Parole Officers, who will serve as their mentors throughout their internship. Through this hands-on learning experience, they will gain valuable insights into the actual practice of community-based corrections.
The Calapan City PPO remains committed to supporting the development of future criminologists and correctional professionals through meaningful training, professional guidance, and exposure to public service.

🤝 Strengthening Collaboration Through a Meaningful Courtesy Call

The Calapan City Parole and Probation Office had the privilege of paying a courtesy call today on Hon. Judge Rosalie A. Lui, together with Clerk of Court Atty. Rechelle Anne V. Pascua, of the Regional Trial Court, Family Court, Branch 12, Naujan, Oriental Mindoro.

The courtesy visit provided a valuable opportunity for a meaningful and fruitful exchange of insights on matters concerning probation, particularly on strengthening coordination and enhancing the effective delivery of probation services. The discussion also highlighted the shared commitment of the Judiciary and the Parole and Probation Administration to uphold justice while providing individuals with opportunities for rehabilitation, personal transformation, and successful reintegration into the community.

The Calapan City Parole and Probation Office extends its sincere appreciation to Hon. Judge Lui and Atty. Pascua for the warm reception and constructive discussion. Initiatives such as this reinforce the importance of strong institutional partnerships in advancing the cause of justice and supporting the rehabilitation of persons under probation supervision.

Calapan City Parole and Probation Office Strengthens Partnership with the Municipality of Baco

The Calapan City Parole and Probation Office conducted a courtesy call on the Municipality of Baco, Oriental Mindoro on August 12, 2026, as part of its continuing efforts to strengthen coordination and partnerships with local government units in support of the rehabilitation and reintegration of persons under probation and parole supervision.

The courtesy call was led by SPPO/OIC Ivan D. Loisaga, together with Sr. PPO Alexander A. Pareja, PPO II Leila Sandra S. Lebumfacil, and ADA Maricon E. Rey.

The delegation first paid a courtesy visit to the Office of Municipal Mayor Allan “AR” A. Roldan, where the Calapan City PPO expressed its sincere appreciation for the continued support and cooperation extended by the LGU of Baco. The office also conveyed its commitment to maintaining a strong working relationship with the Municipality in the implementation of community-based rehabilitation programs and other initiatives for persons under supervision.

The delegation likewise met with Vice Mayor Brederick “Eric” V. Castillo and the members of the Sangguniang Bayan during their regular session, providing an opportunity to strengthen communication and coordination with the local government.
SPPO/OIC Loisaga expressed his gratitude for the LGU’s continued support and emphasized the importance of local government participation in the effective implementation of parole and probation programs.

The Calapan City PPO looks forward to stronger collaboration and continued partnership with the Municipality of Baco in promoting rehabilitation, restorative justice, and the successful reintegration of probationers and parolees.

On August 5, 2026, the Calapan City Parole and Probation Office, under the leadership of SPPO/OIC Ivan D. Loisaga, together with Sr. PPO Alexander A. Pareja, PPO II Jose Francis C. Sabanal, PPO II Leila Sandra S. Lebumfacil, PPO II Elaine V. Del Mundo, ADA Maricon Elermo Rey, and Nino James Nicko L. Asi, successfully underwent the Internal Quality Audit (IQA) conducted by IQA Team 6.

The audit team was headed by CPPO Laureen F. Sandoval (Region II) as Team Leader, with Sr. PPO Romuella C. Quezon (Cordillera Administrative Region) and Sr. PPO Adel A. Martir (Central Office) serving as Team Members. CPPO Evangeline Lebante and ADA IV Juerilyn Aborot participated as Observers throughout the audit process.

The successful completion of the Internal Quality Audit reflects the office's unwavering commitment to maintaining high standards of quality management, professionalism, accountability, and excellence in the delivery of probation and parole services. It also demonstrates the dedication, teamwork, and continuous efforts of every member of the Calapan City Parole and Probation Office in upholding the principles of quality public service.
