Mercedes F. Calaunan, and our Master Teacher II, Mdm. In observance of the 3rd Quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) 2026, Balani-Parongking Elementary School joined the nationwide earthquake preparedness activity on September 10, 2026.

Due to the suspension of face-to-face classes, the conduct of the earthquake drill shifted from the school setting to the home setting. Our pupils, together with the teaching personnel, actively participated by practicing essential earthquake safety procedures at home.

Term 1 Examination Monitoring: Strengthening Support for Learners and Teachers

BALANI-PARONGKING ELEMENTARY SCHOOL | August 28, 2026— The Term 1 Examination at Balani-Parongking Elementary School (BPES) was closely monitored on August 28, 2026, by Dr. Diana C. Baguio, District Supervisor, who visited the school to observe the proper administration of the assessment and ensure adherence to established examination procedures.

During the monitoring visit, Dr. Baguio interacted with learners and teachers, providing encouragement and emphasizing the importance of maintaining a supportive, orderly, and learner-centered environment throughout the examination.

The assessment was also supervised by BPES School Head Mdm. Mercedes F. Calaunan, who ensured that the examination was conducted smoothly and systematically across grade levels.

The monitoring activity reflects the school’s continuing commitment to quality assessment, proper examination practices, and the provision of meaningful support to learners and teachers as they work toward improved learning outcomes.

LARVICIDING ACTIVITY AT BPES

On August 27, 2026, the Balani-Parongking Elementary School conducted a larviciding activity in coordination with the Municipal Health Office (MHO) of the Local Government Unit (LGU).

The activity was led by Sir Patrick Angeles of the LGU-MHO, who supervised the application of larvicides in identified mosquito-breeding areas within and around the school premises.

This preventive health measure aims to control mosquito larvae and reduce the risk of mosquito-borne diseases, particularly during the rainy season when mosquito breeding may increase.

Through the continued collaboration of the school and the local health office, we strive to maintain a clean, safe, and healthy learning environment for our learners, teachers, and school personnel.
