Maligayang Araw ng mga "Nanay", "Inay", "Ma", "Mudra", "Mommy", "Ima" at sa lahat ng mga g**o na tumatayong pangalawang magulang sa ating mga mag-aaral. Hindi lang tayo tagapagluwal ng buhay, kabahagi tayo sa pagbabago ng mundo.

Narito ang pahayag ng nagkakaisang g**o sa National Capital Region - (NCR) sa pamamagitan ng pagbuo ng convenors nito mula sa iba't ibang dibisyon sa pagkakatatag ng Tanggol Kasaysayan - itinatag sa basic education system upang manindigan at labanan ang sistematiko at mapalaganap na disimpormasyon militar.

Hinihikayat namin ang lahat ng nagmamahal sa kasaysayan, makabayang g**o na tumugon din sa hamon ng kasaysayan.

The Department of Education's (DepEd) statement that everything is well with the school opening is an outright dismissal of the numerous problems our teachers are raising from the ground. Naghihintay ng sagot at solusyon ang ating mga g**o dahil maraming klase sa buong bansa ang wala pang magagamit na klasrum, silya at aklat. Nagtatanong ang mga g**o sa Cebu at Bohol kung kailan kukimpinihin ang mga klasrum na sinalanta ng bagyo. Hindi man lang ba nila ito sasagutin?
Ang kalagayan na wala pa sa kalahati ng mga paaralan ang kayang mag implement ng 100% face to face ay patunay na napakarami pang kakulangan na hindi napupunan at mga problemang hindi nareresolba.
The least DepEd can do is to be honest about the situation and own up to the deficiencies. Kapag ganitong sinasabi nilang maayos na ang lahat pero sa Lunes ay marami pang kakulangan, ang mga g**o na naman ang maiipit at masisisi.
Higit sa lahat, dapat ilatag na ng DepEd ang kabuuang plano nito mula ngayon hanggang katapusan ng Oktubre sa pagpuno sa mga kakulangan at pagresolba sa mga problema para maipatupad na ang 100% face to face sa Nobyembre.

Nakikiisa ang ACT NCR Union sa pagkilala sa lahat ng indigenous peoples sa buong daigdig at sa Pilipinas. Patuloy tayong nakikiisa sa lahat ng laban para sa lupang ninuno, sariling pagpapasya at karapatan.
Patuloy tayong manindigan at manawagan para sa hustisya para lahat ng na biktima ng militarisasyon at extrajudicial killings.

After June 24 (end of school year based on DepEd Order 29), teachers are no longer required to report to school to render service. Classroom teachers will no longer be paid from this day until the first day of school next school year.

If there are reports that are not completed after June 24, they can be accomplished at home and submit online or to school in the most convenient time.

Papasok na lamang ang mga g**o sa araw ng graduation and the rest ay voluntary na lang. Ang school year end report ay maaring gawin sa school o bahay.

Hindi na kailangan magtime in at time out.Kung irerequire man tayo ay nararapat na bigyan ng service credits ang mga g**ong pinapapasok.

However, TEACHERS MAY STILL BE REQUIRED to report and render services on days without classes in the exigency of public service. Equivalent vacation service credits, in accordance with DepEd Order No. 53, s. 2003, shall be given to teachers required to report for work.


Panawagan natin sa DepED at mga school heads na ipatupad ang nasasaad sa DepED NCR and ACT NCR Union CNA.

ACT: PHILHEALTH PREMIUM HIKE CAUSED NONPAYMENT OF TEACHERS' LOANS

"The widely opposed PhilHealth premium increase has now also increased the problems of teachers, especially those with just P5,000 take-home pay," said Vladimer Quetua, spokesperson of Alliance of Concerned Teachers (ACT) Philippines.

"Marami kaming nakuhang report lalo na sa Bicol na dahil sa ipinatupad na ang mas mataas na 4% PhilHealth premium sa sweldo ng mga g**o ngayong June 15 ay nagkaroon ng undeducted na payments sa loans nila yaong dati nang P5,000 na lamang ang net pay. Ang mga g**o pa ang mababaon sa lolobong mga interes sa utang dahil sa pagpipilit na ipatupad ang PhilHealth premium increase,"added the progressive teacher.

“The teachers’ problems with lower take-home pay and loan arrears is expected to worsen in the next months when PhilHealth and the Department of Education (DepEd) impose the collection of the PhilHealth premium balances due to the hike for the months of January to May 2022,” explained Quetua.

"We are calling on the DepEd Central Office to be on top of the situation, have a dialogue with PhilHealth and lending institutions to ensure that there would be no arrears on teachers' loans as an effect of the PhilHealth premium hike. More importantly, we demand that the premium hike be suspended or entirely scrapped," said Quetua

It can be remembered that ACT Philippines called for the suspension of the PhilHealth premium hike until a substantial wage increase has been granted to teachers. #

ACT QUESTIONS ABRUPT, ARBITRARY ORDER FOR ENRICHMENT CLASSES

The Alliance of Concerned Teachers (ACT) Philippines today questioned the abrupt and arbitrary order of the Department of Education (DepEd) issued just two weeks before the end of the school year, instructing for the holding of enrichment classes for Grade 1 to 11 students who got a grade of 75 to 79,.

"Was this move even consulted with experts, school administrators, teachers, parents and even students? While attending enrichment class is voluntary, all of a sudden, parents are confronted with the dilemma of possible additional expenses for the prolonged school days for their children, while teachers are anxious if their period of rest will be disrupted by this hasty order,” said Vladimer Quetua, spokesperson of ACT Philippines.

“Biglaan at hindi lapat sa lupa ang patakarang ito. Hindi handa kapwa ang mga estudyante at g**o para dito. Ang malamang na mangyari, hindi magboboluntaryo ang mga estudyante na pumasok sa enrichment class o di kaya’y lilikha ito ng artipisyal na pagtaas sa mga grado para maiwasan ang patakaran. Kung kaya wala itong saysay, bagkus ay lumilikha lamang ng di-kinakailangang kalituhan at pagkabalisa sa lahat,” Quetua explained.

Quetua questioned even the effectiveness of the measure in serving its claimed purpose of addressing the learning gaps brought about by the sudden shift in learning modalities due to the pandemic.

"Napakalaki ng problema ng learning crisis at hindi naman masosolusyunan ang mga learning gaps na ito ng kautusan na ineengganyo ang mga estudyante na magklase pa ng dagdag na 2 linggo. Malinaw na band aid solution lamang ito at pahirap pa sa mga g**o at estudyante na wala namang tiyak na makabuluhang resulta" he added.

Quetua demanded for the scrapping of the said order and called on Deped to roll-out a comprehensive and evidence-based program to address the learning crisis in the coming school year.

"It would be best for the Department of Education to start this by assessing the students to concretely see and understand theb nature and extent of the learning crisis. From here, necessary measures and adjustments in the curriculum and pedagogy must be done to address the learning gaps that are observed across the student population, while special intervention measures can be crafted to assist learners who are lagging behind,” ended Quetua. #
