🩹 STANDARD FIRST AID–BASIC LIFE SUPPORT (SFA-BLS) ORIENTATION

Through the initiative of MDRRMC Chairperson, Mayor Rene E. Maglanque, together with MDRRMO Head Michael Dan V. Sagum and LDRRMO III Galen Tearl Gumabon, the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) of Candaba conducted the Standard First Aid–Basic Life Support (SFA-BLS) Orientation to strengthen emergency preparedness and life-saving skills among learners.

The activity supports the upcoming International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction (IDDRR) 2026, with the global theme “Resilience Starts at Home,” and promotes the Philippine campaign “Panatag na Tahanan at Paaralan” under Panatag Pilipinas 3.0.

The Philippines will join the global observance of the International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction (IDDRR) 2026 on October 13, with the theme “Resilience Starts at Home.”

The observance highlights the importance of informed and prepared households in building stronger and more resilient communities.

In the Philippines, the observance carries the theme “Panatag na Tahanan at Paaralan” through the expanded Panatag Pilipinas 3.0 campaign. This expanded campaign brings preparedness videos and other related educational materials covering various hazards directly to schools, using them as platforms to promote and cultivate a culture of disaster preparedness and resilience among learners, families, and communities.

Simulation Drill at Candaba Elementary School

The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), together with the DILG staff, Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), and Barangay Buas officials led by Punong Barangay Al Gonzales and the Barangay Kagawads, participated in the simulation drill conducted at Candaba Elementary School on October 8, 2026.

The activity aimed to strengthen preparedness, coordination, and response capabilities in ensuring the safety of students, teachers, and school personnel during emergencies. 🚨🤝👮‍♂️🚒
