DISTRIBUTION OF TESDA TRAINING ALLOWANCE TO PDL

In a meaningful step toward rehabilitation and second chances, Canlaon City Jail, under the leadership of City Jail Warden JINSP RONREEVE JAMES G ROQUE, proudly welcomed representatives from the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) for the official distribution of training allowances to 20 deserving Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) scholars.
Each scholar received a 15-day training stipend worth ₱2,900.00 in recognition of their dedication to learning and self-improvement. This initiative underscores the jail administration's strong commitment to empowering PDLs through skill development and education, equipping them with valuable tools for a brighter, more productive future upon their reintegration into society.

NATIONAL SIMULATION EARTHQUAKE DRILL

In response to letter of invitation sent by LDRRMO to conduct National Simulation Earthquake drill. Canlaon City Jail participated in the said activity held at Masulog Government Center, Barangay Masulog, Canlaon City.

Under the leadership of JINSP RONREEVE JAMES G ROQUE, Acting Warden, five Personnel of this unit participated together with PNP, BFP,BDRRM, BHW and PARDDS during the conduct of NSED facilitated by LDRRMO as a preemptive and reactive activity to assess the effectiveness of existing contingency plans and identify areas for improvement to ensure an orderly, timely, and safe response during actual earthquake incidents.

In observance of All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day, Canlaon City Jail, under the leadership of JINSP RONREEVE JAMES G ROQUE, Acting City Jail Warden, conducted a rank inspection and personnel accounting as part of the implementation of the Red Alert Status
The activity aimed to ensure personnel accountability, operational readiness, and heightened vigilance in maintaining the security and safety of the jail facility and all PDL.

𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐒 𝐌𝐀𝐍𝐀𝐆𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐄𝐌𝐎𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐋 𝐖𝐄𝐋𝐋-𝐁𝐄𝐈𝐍𝐆

Canlaon City Jail, spearheaded by JINSP RONREEVE JAMES G ROQUE, Acting City Jail Warden, in collaboration with CSDWO Canlaon City, conducted a Stress Management Activity to all PDL, through the efforts of the Chief, Welfare and Development, SJO2 Wilbeth O Gantalao, as part of the National Correctional Consciousness Week (NACOCOW) 2026 celebration.

The activity was facilitated by Mr. Earl Vergara and seven (7) DSWD staff members through stress management debriefing, group activities, and interactive discussions. It aimed to help PDL manage stress, develop positive coping mechanisms, and enhance their emotional well-being while undergoing detention.

Canlaon City Jail extends its sincere gratitude to CSDWO Canlaon City for its continued support and commitment to the welfare and development of PDL. This initiative highlights the importance of mental well-being, personal growth, and rehabilitation in fostering positive change and preparing PDL for a better future.

In celebration of the National Correctional Consciousness Week (NACOCOW) 2026, Canlaon City Jail, under the leadership of JINSP RONREEVE JAMES G ROQUE, Acting City Jail Warden, conducted a Medical Consultation with Blood Typing and Dental Mission for PDL, promoting health, wellness, and humane treatment within the facility.

A total of 14 PDL (13 male and 1 female) received medical consultations, while 60 male PDL underwent blood typing. Meanwhile, 14 PDL received dental services, including tooth extraction, consisting of 10 male PDL, 3 male senior citizen PDL, and 1 female PDL.

Canlaon City Jail extends its heartfelt appreciation to the Canlaon City Health Office (CHO), particularly the DOH Doctors to the Barrios Program through Dr. Dominick B. Obias, MD, together with the six CHO staff, for their valuable assistance in the successful conduct of the medical mission. Sincere gratitude is also extended to the Palongpalong Family for their support and contribution to the dental mission.

This collaborative initiative demonstrates the importance of partnership and shared responsibility in delivering essential healthcare services to PDL. Through the continued support of our partners, Canlaon City Jail remains committed to promoting the health, dignity, and holistic well-being of every PDL as part of their rehabilitation and reformation journey.

🎓 CANLAON CITY JAIL HOLDS COMMENCEMENT EXERCISES FOR PERSONS DEPRIVED OF LIBERTY (PDL)

Through the strong partnership of Canlaon City Jail, the Department of Education (DepEd), and Alternative Learning System (ALS) Canlaon, the unit successfully conducted its 4th Commencement Exercise, Graduation and Completion Ceremonies for School Year 2025–2026 on October 23, 2026.

Led by JINSP RONREEVE JAMES G ROQUE, Acting City Jail Warden, the ceremony celebrated the achievements of 20 PDL graduates from the elementary and junior high school levels, along with 3 PDL program completers.

Anchored on the theme, “Pilipinong Nagsipagtapos: Handang Mamuno nang may Kakayahan at Mabuting Pagkatao,” the event highlighted the importance of education in fostering hope, personal growth, and a brighter future for every PDL.
