The Capul District Athletics Association Meet 2026 officially concluded with a memorable Awarding and Closing Ceremony, celebrating the incredible talent, hard work, and sportsmanship of our student-athletes across Capul.

After days of intense competition, relentless grit, and inspiring athletic feats, the outstanding teams and individual athletes were awarded their well-deserved medals, trophies, and recognition. Beyond the podium finishes, every delegation displayed remarkable character and camaraderie that truly made Capul proud.

A special salute goes to the qualifiers who will proudly represent the Capul District in the upcoming 2026 Balicuatro Athletic Association (BAA) Meet.

The two-day CDAA 2026 officially kicked off today, August 22, 2026, at the Capul Agro-Industrial School (CAIS) Quadrangle.

Spearheaded by District Sports Coordinator Mr. Glenn Patrick D. Catucod (School Principal II) and District Head Ms. Anecita B. Marzol, the district-wide event brings together student-athletes from 12 elementary schools and 2 secondary schools to compete for spots in the upcoming 2026 Balicuatro Athletic Association (BAA) Meet.

Athletes from the 2025 EVRAA delegation led the ceremonial lighting of the torch, signaling the start of the competition. The grit, passion, and skill of young athletes reflect a deep spirit of sportsmanship, strong camaraderie, and mutual respect among learners, teachers, parents, and community stakeholders.

Today, our young athletes step onto the field, court, and track not just to compete, but to inspire. As the great Muhammad Ali once said:

"Champions aren't made in gyms. Champions are made from something they have deep inside themโ€”a desire, a dream, a vision."

From artistic performances to skill demonstrations, every moment highlighted the hard work of our students and the unwavering guidance of their teachers as young learners took center stage to showcase their unique gifts at the district-level competition.

The DFOT and DSTMF are both an annual co-curricular events organized by the Department of Education (DepEd) to provide learners with a platform to showcase their academic, artistic, and technical capabilitiesโ€”including arts, music, and language, and science, technology, and mathematics โ€”promoting holistic development.

In his opening message, Mr. Glenn Patrick D. Catucod, Principal II, emphasized sportsmanship and camaraderie among learners. He expressed his firm belief that through a strong commitment to service, Capul District will continue to strive for excellence.

Meanwhile, Ms. Anecita B. Marzol, District Head, highlighted the crucial role of teachers in guiding and honing each learnerโ€™s potential. She encouraged educators to stay dedicated to supporting students and helping them discover their talents.

This event reflects a proactive commitment to strengthening the teaching-learning process and developing 21st-century skills among learners.
