Empathy is more than simply understanding someone’s situation—it is choosing to listen, understand, and see things from another person’s perspective. Through the Values Restoration Program, Carmen District Jail continues to promote empathy among Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs), fostering compassion, respect, and positive change.

A Dental Mission for Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) was successfully conducted through the collaborative efforts of the PROVINCIAL HEALTH OFFICE and MEDICAL OUTREACH UNIT (MOU) of the Governor’s Office under HON. ERICO ARISTOTLE AUMENTADO.

Under the leadership of JINSP ROLAND G ALCOMENDRAS, Jail Warden, the Jail Management extends its sincere appreciation to the LGU CARMEN, BOHOL and all partners for their continued support in promoting the health and well-being of the PDL.

IN PHOTOS | MEDICAL MISSION

In partnership with the Medical Outreach Unit (MOU) of the Provincial Government of Bohol, the Carmen District Jail successfully conducted a medical mission for Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) within the jail premises.

PDL with health concerns were properly assisted and assessed by physicians from the MOU, with the support of the Jail Health Service Unit, under the guidance of JINSP ROLAND G ALCOMENDRAS, Jail Warden.

JINSP ROLAND G ALCOMENDRAS, District Jail Warden, participated in the 1st Bohol Provincial Congress held on September 15, 2026, at Panda Tea Garden, Tagbilaran City.

Led by Provincial Jail Administrator JSUPT CASTLE H MASIP MPA, the congress brought together Jail Wardens from across Bohol to discuss key challenges, align with BJMP policies, and share best practices in jail management.

Through meaningful discussions and collaboration, the participants explored practical strategies to strengthen jail operations, promote effective leadership, and further enhance the delivery of quality care and services to Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL).

JUST IN: CARMEN DISTRICT JAIL CONDUCTS HILOT NC II COMPETENCY ASSESSMENT FOR PDL

Carmen District Jail, under the leadership of JINSP ROLAND G ALCOMENDRAS, Jail Warden, successfully conducted the two-day Hilot (Wellness Massage) NC II Competency Assessment for qualified Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) on September 7–8, 2026.

The activity, facilitated in partnership with TESDA and the Competency Assessment Center, provided PDL with free competency assessment, reinforcing the jail’s rehabilitation and livelihood development initiatives.

The jail management expresses its appreciation to TESDA and its partner assessment center for their continued support in advancing skills development and reintegration opportunities for PDL.

Theme: “Emotional Stability”

Carmen District Jail continues to promote positive values and holistic development among Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) through the Values Restoration Program.

This week’s theme, “Emotional Stability,” reminds us that true strength lies in knowing how to understand, manage, and respond to our emotions. By developing emotional awareness and a positive mindset, we become more capable of facing challenges, making better decisions, and building healthier relationships.

As the saying goes, “When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.” ✨

May this week’s activity inspire everyone to choose calmness over anger, understanding over judgment, and hope over negativity.

“AFFABILITY” — Pagiging Magiliw

Ang pagiging magiliw ay hindi lamang tungkol sa magandang pakikitungo, kundi sa pagpapakita ng respeto, kabaitan, at malasakit sa bawat tao. 🤝

Sa bawat salita at kilos, ipinapakita natin kung anong uri ng tao ang pinipili nating maging. Nawa’y patuloy nating isabuhay ang pagiging magiliw, maunawain, at may malasakit sa ating kapwa. 💙

||Serbisyong Pangkalusugan, Para sa Lahat! 🩺💙||

Noong Agosto 25, 2026, isinagawa sa Carmen District Jail ang Medical Consultation Activity sa pakikipagtulungan ng Carmen Bohol Primary Care Facility, sa pangunguna ni Dr. Raffy A. Baluso.

Nabigyan ng serbisyong medikal ang 34 na lalaking PDL at 4 na BJMP personnel, bilang bahagi ng patuloy na pagbibigay ng pantay, episyente, at epektibong serbisyong pangkalusugan sa loob ng piitan.

Ang aktibidad ay isinagawa sa ilalim ng pamumuno ni JINSP ROLAND G ALCOMENDRAS, Jail Warden, na patuloy na nagsusulong ng kapakanan, kalusugan, at maayos na serbisyo para sa mga PDL at personnel ng Carmen District Jail.

Taos-pusong pasasalamat sa Carmen Bohol Primary Care Facility, kay Dr. Baluso, JO2 Liza Q Bernante, Jail Nurse, at sa lahat ng personnel na naging bahagi ng matagumpay na aktibidad.
