The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Northern Samar has conducted a series of comprehensive subdivision surveys in Barangay San Antonio, Catubig. This crucial field initiative aims to subdivide collective land titles into individual ownership documents for local agrarian reform beneficiaries. By precisely delineating boundaries, the project secures long-term land tenure, empowers farming families, and boosts agricultural productivity across Northern Samar.

The Department of Agrarian Reform Municipal Office (DARMO) in Allen recently concluded a successful pulong-pulong (community meeting) and mediation session. The event focused on resolving local land disputes, educating residents on agrarian reform laws, and fostering peaceful community relations among agrarian reform beneficiaries.

The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Northern Samar joins the Filipino Muslim community in celebrating Eid’l Adha tomorrow, Wednesday, May 27, 2026. Following Proclamation No. 1264 issued by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., this day is declared a regular holiday nationwide. Our offices will be closed as we honor this sacred feast of sacrifice and community sharing.

On May 19, 2026, the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Northern Samar spearheaded a hands-on training session on organic pesticide production and concoction extraction for the members of the Hibubullao San Jose Irrigators Services Association (HSJISA) in Catubig, Northern Samar. This initiative equips local farmers with eco-friendly, cost-effective alternatives to chemical fertilizers and pesticides, actively promoting sustainable agricultural practices within the municipality.

The Sitio Hibabaogan ARBs & Farmers Association Inc. recently completed an intensive training on Lettuce Production and Pre & Post-Harvest Management. Aimed at equipping Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) with modern agricultural technologies, this initiative is part of the Climate Resilient Farm Productivity Support Program - Sustainable Livelihood for Disaster-Affected Areas (CRFPSP-SLDA). The program provides farmers with vital techniques to ensure better yields and sustainable farming methods amidst changing climate conditions.

DAR Northern Samar personnel join local farmers and agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) in Barangay Toog, Lavezares, Northern Samar, during the successful ARBO formation and BARC reorganization held on May 14, 2026. The twin initiatives, driven by DAR's Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Development Sustainability Program (ARBDSP), aim to strengthen local cooperative governance and institutionalize multi-sectoral community participation to fast-track land distribution, support services, and dispute resolutions at the barangay level.

The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Northern Samar successfully spearheaded the reorganization of the Barangay Agrarian Reform Committees (BARCs) in Barangays Arellano and Magsaysay, Bobon, Northern Samar. The revitalization aims to empower local farmers and community leaders, ensuring their active participation in the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP). The newly inducted officers will assist in the identification of qualified beneficiaries, facilitate fair land acquisition and distribution, and help resolve agrarian disputes at the grassroots level.

𝐃𝐀𝐑 𝐓𝐑𝐈𝐕𝐈𝐀 | 𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐌 𝐌𝐎 𝐁𝐀?

Conrado F. Estrella Sr., father of current DAR Secretary Conrado M. Estrella III, served as Agrarian Reform Secretary from 1971 to 1986 under President Ferdinand Marcos Sr. He led major land reform efforts through Presidential Decree No. 27, helping thousands of farmers gain ownership of agricultural lands via land transfer and emancipation titles. His work laid the groundwork for the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP), marking a lasting, multi-generational legacy in Philippine agrarian reform and rural development.

The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Northern Samar conducted a crucial subdivision survey in Barangay San Jose Hibubulao, Catubig, Northern Samar on May 15, 2026. This technical survey splits the extensive landholdings into individual lots, moving local agrarian reform beneficiaries one step closer to securing their official ownership titles and achieving long-term agricultural stability.

Darmo Catubig extended assistance to the Catubig Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Organization through the conduct of a webinar focused on Cooperative Development Authority registration requirements for cooperatives.

The online activity aimed to equip members of the association with essential knowledge on the procedures, documentary requirements, and compliance standards necessary for cooperative registration. The initiative also sought to strengthen the organization’s capacity in advancing sustainable livelihood and community-based development among agrarian reform beneficiaries.

Participants expressed appreciation for the webinar, noting that the activity provided clearer guidance on the registration process and the benefits of establishing a duly recognized cooperative.
