On October 5, 2026, at around 2:20 PM, the Regional Pastoral Officer of Police Regional Office 7, PLTCOL MARK VIRGIL J IBARDOLAZA, conducted a pastoral visitation at Catmon Municipal Police Station, under the leadership of PCPT FRANCIS RUSSUE G SALVID, OIC.

The activity included a courtesy call with the Chief of Police, celebration of Holy Mass, and a custodial visit with counseling and pastoral guidance for Persons Under Police Custody (PUPC).

The visitation aimed to strengthen the faith, morale, resilience, overall well-being of PNP personnel and personal guidance in the performance of their duties, as part of the PNPโ€™s continuing commitment to provide moral, spiritual, and psycho-spiritual support to its personnel.

On October 5, 2026, at around 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, personnel of this station under the direct supervision of PCPT FRANCIS RUSSUE G SALVID, OIC, conducted a checkpoint operation as part of the stationโ€™s continuing efforts to strengthen security measures and maintain peace and order within the area of responsibility.
The activity aimed to deter criminality, enhance police visibility, monitor the movement of persons and vehicles, and ensure compliance with existing traffic laws and regulations. Likewise, motorists were reminded to observe road safety measures and carry the necessary documents while traveling to promote public safety and security.

On October 5, 2026, at around 9:00 AM, ๐—ฃ๐—–๐—ฃ๐—ง ๐—™๐—ฅ๐—”๐—ก๐—–๐—œ๐—ฆ ๐—ฅ๐—จ๐—ฆ๐—ฆ๐—จ๐—˜ ๐—š ๐—ฆ๐—”๐—Ÿ๐—ฉ๐—œ๐——, ๐‘ถ๐‘ฐ๐‘ช, convened a Quad Staff Meeting with the key personnel of Catmon MPS to discuss updates from each section, address operational and administrative concerns, and strengthen coordination among all sections.

The meeting also included the cascading of the School Defense System to the personnel of Catmon MPS, emphasizing the importance of proper coordination, preparedness, and proactive security measures in maintaining the safety and security of schools, learners, teaching personnel, and other school stakeholders. The cascading aimed to ensure that personnel are properly informed and guided on their respective roles and responsibilities in supporting the effective implementation of the School Defense System.

Through strengthened teamwork, coordination, and preparedness, Catmon MPS remains committed to providing responsive and community-oriented police service toward a safer and more secure municipality.

SYMPOSIUM

On October 4, 2026, personnel of Catmon MPS, under the direct supervision of PCPT FRANCIS RUSSUE SALVID, OIC, conducted a community drug symposium for the residents of Brgy. Anapog, Catmon, Cebu. The activity aimed to raise awareness on the harmful effects and dangers of illegal drugs and strengthen the communityโ€™s commitment to maintaining a safe and drug-free environment.

During the symposium, discussions were also conducted on crime prevention, the campaign against loose fi****ms, the campaign against illegal gambling, and the proper use of the 911 Emergency Hotline. The residents were reminded to remain vigilant, report suspicious activities to the authorities, properly secure or surrender unauthorized fi****ms, refrain from engaging in illegal gambling activities, and utilize the 911 Emergency Hotline responsibly during emergencies.

The activity focused on discussing the current status and recent updates on illegal drug activities within the barangay. It also covered the prevailing peace and order situation, and other significant issues and concerns affecting the community. The meeting served as a venue to strengthen coordination among stakeholders and reinforce collaborative efforts in the campaign against illegal drugs and in maintaining public safety.
