PUBLIC HEARING CONDUCTED | MARCH 27, 2026

The Municipality of Catmon successfully conducted a Public Hearing on the proposed Provisional Increase in Tricycle Fare Rates held at the Social Hall, Municipal Building.

The activity was graced by Honorable Raul Sususco and Honorable Andres Ditoy Arche Jr, together with the active participation of our transport operators,.

The hearing served as a platform for open discussion, allowing all sectors to express their insights and concerns regarding the proposed fare adjustment.

This initiative highlights the LGU’s commitment to transparency, inclusivity, and participatory governance in decision-making.

In support of Executive Order No. 19, s. 2026 of the Province of Cebu—directing all component cities and municipalities to observe Earth Hour on March 28, 2026, and encouraging province-wide participation in environmental protection, climate action, and energy conservation—the people of Catmon are hereby encouraged to join this meaningful activity.

All Catmonanons are urged to switch off non-essential lights and electrical appliances from 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM on March 28, 2026.

Let us all do our part in protecting the environment and conserving energy for a sustainable future.

PROPOSED 2027 SCHEDULE OF MARKET VALUES (SMV) FOR REAL PROPERTIES IN THE PROVINCE OF CEBU

In line with the mandate of the Department of Finance (DOF), through the Bureau of Local Government Finance (BLGF), and pursuant to the provisions of Republic Act No. 12001, otherwise known as the Real Property Valuation and Assessment Reform Act (RPVARA), the Provincial Government of Cebu, through the Office of the Provincial Assessor, in collaboration with the forty-four (44) municipal assessors, has prepared the Proposed 2027 Schedule of Market Values (SMV) for real properties within the Province of Cebu.

The proposed SMV provides a uniform and transparent basis for the appraisal and assessment of real properties across all municipalities in the province.

All interested parties—including property owners, taxpayers, real estate practitioners, and other stakeholders—are hereby invited to attend and participate in the scheduled public hearings.

These hearings will serve as the proper venue to present and discuss the proposed Schedule of Market Values prior to its finalization and submission to the Bureau of Local Government Finance (BLGF).
