Named after COMMODORE ISMAEL LOMIBAO AFP(17 June 1919 - 11 January 1985), former FOIC, PN.

BRP ISMAEL LOMIBAO (PC383) is the eleventh ship of the Jose Andrada Class coastal patrol boats of the Philippine Navy which was commissioned to service in 1995.

LCF REIGNS SUPREME IN THE PF SPORTS FEST 2023!

ICYMI | Littoral Combat Force overwhelmingly surpassed the Philippine Fleet Sports Fest 2023. The friendly competition covered various sports categories such as Tug of War, 7x100 Relays, 6x100 Relays, Basketball, Volleyball, Badminton and 5 Km Run and was participated by the Forces, Wing, Groups, and Center of the Philippine Fleet from 23 May to 08 June 2023.

Imbued with the spirit of Sportsmanship and the vested “Best Force” mentality, the Officers and Enlisted Personnel of Littoral Combat Force overcame and excelled on all events resulting to being adjudged as the Over-all Champion for this calendar year.

The Perpetual Trophy, together with innumerable accolades, can be seen displayed at the Headquarters Littoral Combat Force – a true manifestation of the unwavering efforts to strive for nothing short of the best.

In collaboration with Cavite Naval Hospital(CNH) BRP GENERAL MARIANO ALVAREZ(PS38) conducted Mental Health Awareness Seminar to the Officers and Personnel of said unit last 07 February 2023.

The seminar were also attended by BRP Ismael Lomibao - PC383 and BRP Federico Martir PC385 at NSSTC Classroom, NSPL, Fort San Felipe, Cavite City.

WELCOME BACK Brp Ismael Lomibao ‼️

23 0730H January 2023 – Littoral Combat Force conducted the Arrival Ceremony for BRP Ismael Lomibao(PC383) at Captain Moya Boat Landing, Headquarters Littoral Combat Force, Naval Base Heracleo Alano, Sangley Point, Cavite City.

The Deputy Commander Littoral Combat Force, CDR MAYNARD S CABUNGCAL PN(GSC) presided the ceremony in behalf of the Commander, Littoral Combat Force. During his speech he mentioned the numerous achievements of PC383 in her Area of Operations since her deployment from August 2017 to January 2023.

With such, Littoral Combat Force takes pride in warmly welcoming the safe arrival of the Officers and crew of PC383 headed by their Commanding Officer – CDR PANTALEON PN.

PHILIPPINE NAVY CONDUCTS SEARCH AND RESCUE OF SEVEN (7) FILIPINO FISHERMEN

🧐: BRP ARTEMIO RICARTE (PS37) assisted in the rescue of seven (7) Filipino fishermen of the ill-fated passenger banca, HERMES II near Philippine-Indonesian Border on November 22, 2022.

The victims were reportedly adrift for seven (7) days owing to their damaged banca that hit a floating log when they were discovered by the MV Shinryo Maru, a Bulk Carrier vessel hoisting the flag of Japan, returning to its country from Indonesia. Upon verification, the victims were later identified as Hamid T Sahabat, Benhar S Idanny, Nisar B Haiber, Jimmy M Sakilan, Abdennasir A Bandahala, Rolly B Posadas and Altaim J Latip and are all residents and local fishermen of Zamboanga City, on their way to Tawi-tawi to test their newly acquired motorized banca.

On November 21, NV395 was deployed to conduct aerial search operations along the waters of Sarangani province, locating the motor banca near the vicinity when Littoral Monitoring Station (LMS) Balut received information from the Indonesian Border Crossing Officer the whereabouts of the vessel.

Thereafter, BRP ISMAEL LOMIBAO (PG383) and BRP ARTEMIO RICARTE (PS37) were directed to rendezvous with MV Shinryo Maru — 8.3 nautical miles off Sagbi Point, Sarangani Province to secure and immediately transport the victims to General Santos City.

Upon transfer of the victims to PS37, they were immediately given food and water, and were likewise, examined and administered initial medical aid.

NAVY TRANSPORTS CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS TO BALUT ISLAND

The Naval Forces Eastern Mindanao (NFEM) through BRP Tagbanua (LC296) in coordination with 73rd Infantry Battalion, Philippine Army, assisted the Department of Education, Davao Occidental by transporting construction materials to Balut Island, Municipality of Sarangani, Davao Occidental on November 12, 2022.

The mission was carried out by LC296, the most recent addition to the NFEM's assets, skippered by CDR LUECKENWEALTH Y UBOD, which transported construction materials from DPWH Pier, Panacan, Davao City to Balut Island. The Philippine Navy's LC296 is a landing craft utility capable of carrying a large number of personnel as well as heavy cargo.

The construction materials will be used to build gyms and nursing stations that will significantly benefit the local community of Balut Island, which is located in one of the country's most remote and southernmost regions.

NFEM and its assets , along with the LGUs and partner stakeholders, will continue to ensure the prompt delivery of assistance and will always be ready to serve the Filipino people.

HONORABLE SERVICE | honors Fleet Commander Driz as he caps 37 years of military service

Acting Philippine Navy Flag Officer In Command, RAdm Caesar Bernard Valencia, led the Change of Command and Retirement Ceremony in honor of The Philippine Fleet Commander, RAdm Nichols Driz on October 24 at the PF headquarters in Sangley Point, City.

The ceremony signaled the culmination of the 37 years of fruitful and dedicated service to the maritime nation rendered by the 36th PF Commander who hailed from the Philippine Military Academy "Makatao" Class of 1989.

RAdm Valencia hailed the retiring Fleet Commander whose "significant contributions to the development of the Fleet will remain essential pillars of its further growth as an organization."

Rear Adm. Driz, in his remarks, conveyed his appreciation of the Team Philippine Fleet who all "remained true to our ideals and remained unfazed in reaching our milestones through our collaborative efforts amidst the challenges of the security environment and the Philippine Navy's changing capability requirements."

RAdm Driz was succeeded in acting capacity by his deputy, Commo Roy Vincent Trinidad, whom the acting Navy Chief enjoined to fulfill the expectations and introduce his leadership brand.

The Naval Forces Eastern Mindanao (NFEM) successfully conducted the 3rd Leg of the Coordinated Patrol (CORPAT) between the Philippine Navy and the Indonesian Navy, dubbed as CORPAT PHILINDO # # -22 along the seawaters of the Republic of the Philippines and Republic of Indonesia (PH-ID) border last October 21, 2022.

The participating vessels of the Philippine Navy were BRP ISMAEL LOMIBAO (PC383) and aircraft NV395, while KRI TONGKOL 813 and maritime patrol aircraft CASSA NC 212 were the participating vessels of the Indonesian Navy.

During the Coordinated Patrol, both naval assets participated in the following sea serials: Maneuvering Exercise (MANEX), Flag Hoisting Exercise, Semaphore Exercise (SEMAPHOREX), Flashing Exercise (FLASHEX), Publication Exercise (PUBEX) and Screen Exercise (SCREENEX). This exercise aims to secure the border areas between the two countries from illegal maritime activities and to enhance interoperability while fostering a harmonious relationship. Furthermore, it also seeks to strengthen ties in order to achieve peace and stability within their borders and nearby waters.

On this note, the Commander, LCF COMMO CARLO LAGASCA PN acknowledged the exemplary effort of PC392 headed by their Commanding Officer, CDR RONALD O PARAS PN.

This activity marks another milestone in our continuing effort to support the focus military operations of the AFP units in Western Mindanao.
