The 4th Regional Community Defense Group (4RCDG), Reserve Command, Philippine Army, holds the graduation rites of ROTC Class โTindigโ 2026 and the Ceremonial Turnover of Command of the Trimex Colleges ROTC Unit, with Col. Rustico V. Villanueva AGS (GSC) PA, Commander, 4RCDG, as Guest of Honor and Speaker, last May 30, 2026 in Biรฑan City, Laguna.
The ceremony brought together school officials, faculty members, training staff, and graduating cadets to mark the completion of ROTC Class โTindigโ 2026. Advance and Basic Cadets received awards for their dedication, discipline, and commitment, while the Ceremonial Turnover of Command highlighted the transfer of leadership responsibilities and the ROTC programโs continuing role in developing responsible and service-oriented future leaders.
In his message, Col. Villanueva congratulated the graduates for completing the course and encouraged them to continue pursuing opportunities in military service. He emphasized that discipline, leadership, and patriotism remain essential qualities in contributing to nation-building.

The National Capital Region Regional Community Defense Group (NCRRCDG), led by Col. Ferdinand Rey G. Ga (MNSA) ART PA, Group Commander, held its 2nd Quarter Ready Reserve Unit (RRU) Commandersโ Conference for RRU commanders, last May 31, 2026 at Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City. BGEN Michael Odylon L. Romero PAF (RES), Commander, Tactical Operations Wing, PAF (Reserve) Northern Luzon and Founding Chairman of ARRAPI, also graced the activity as Guest of Honor and Speaker.
The conference provided a venue for RRU commanders and reserve force leaders to discuss unit accomplishments, ongoing programs, best practices, and future initiatives. The activity also featured the oath-taking of newly designated RRU Advisor, BGEN Noel T. Baluyan PA (Ret), and briefings on Volunteer Mobilizing Organizations (VMOs) and Accredited Community Disaster Volunteers (ACDVs), highlighting efforts to strengthen reservist involvement in community engagement and disaster response.
In his keynote message, BGen Romero recognized the contributions of reservists to national defense and public service. He also emphasized the Philippine Total Defense System and the growing role of reservists in supporting national security and development.

The 6th Regional Community Defense Group (6RCDG), Reserve Command, Philippine Army, formally opened the Advance ROTC Academic Phase Training (ARAPT) for Military Science (MS) 41 and 42 cadets, led by Col. Edralin L. Poblete ART (GSC) PA, Group Commander, last June 1, 2026 at ISUFST-Di**le Campus, San Matias, Di**le, Iloilo.
The opening ceremony brought together training staff, instructors, and cadets from various ROTC units across the region. In his message, Col. Poblete underscored the importance of discipline, dedication, and integrity, encouraging the trainees to make the most of the 14-day program designed to enhance their military knowledge, leadership skills, and readiness for future service as reserve officers and reservists.
Through ARAPT, 6RCDG continues to develop competent, disciplined, and service-oriented leaders, equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and values needed to effectively support the Reserve Force and serve the nation.

The Reserve Command, Philippine Army (RESCOM, PA) officially kicked off its highly anticipated Pickleball X Larong Pinoy Sportsfest 2026, on June 02, 2026, at Camp Riego de Dios, Tanza, Cavite.
Serving as a thrilling pre-anniversary event ahead of RESCOMโs 43rd Anniversary this coming September 4, 2026, this sportsfest realizes the long-held vision of the Commander, RESCOM, PA who first introduced pickleball to the command. The opening ceremony was proudly led by Brig. Gen. Patricio S. Tomales, Deputy Commander, RESCOM, PA. To start the festivities, Lt. Col. Brelyn M. Bitoy, Assistant Chief of Staff for Personnel, G1, RESCOM, PA warmly welcomed the enthusiastic crowd of Officers, Enlisted Personnel, and Civilian Human Resources, while Chief Master Sergeant Raul Mirhan (Sergeant Major) led the solemn Oath of Sportsmanship.

The Reserve Command, Philippine Army (RESCOM, PA), led by its Commander, successfully concluded the Flores de Mayo CY 2026 festivities with a grand Santacruzan on May 31, 2026. Throughout the month, the St. Augustine of Hippo Chapel served as a center for spiritual devotion, holding a Summer Catechism for children and daily afternoon floral offerings to the Blessed Virgin Mary.
The celebration reached its peak with the traditional Santacruzan procession, featuring 31 Sagalas who represented the Theological Virtues of Faith, Hope, and Charity, alongside various Marian titles. This vibrant display of Filipino culture involved participants from civilian religious organizations and military units of HQS RESCOM, uniting the Laang Kawal community in a shared expression of heritage and faith.

The 9th Regional Community Defense Group (9RCDG), Reserve Command, Philippine Army (RESCOM, PA), conducted a lecture on Self-Temperament for ROTC Summer Camp Training (RSCT) and Advance ROTC Academic Phase Training (ARAPT) cadets last May 30, 2026. The session was facilitated by PFC Albert Roy Tiondo at the 9RCDG Headquarters, Kuta Dao, Pagadian City.
The lecture focused on the diverse types of human temperaments, emotional intelligence, and self-regulation, highlighting their critical importance in military service and leadership. Through this discussion, the cadets gained a deeper understanding of their behavioral tendencies and how these influence communication, decision-making, and teamwork.
The activity reinforced the value of self-discipline and emotional control, further preparing the cadets to become responsible, effective, and service-oriented future leaders.

The 8th Regional Community Defense Group (8RCDG), Reserve Command, Philippine Army (RESCOM, PA), participated in the graduation ceremony of the Northwest Samar State University (NwSSU) NSTP-ROTC cadets in Calbayog City, Samar, last May 31, 2026. Col. Ramonito C. Taboy, Group Commander, 8RCDG, honored the event as the Guest of Honor and Speaker.
During the ceremony, Col. Raymundo C. Picut Jr., Director of the 803rd Community Defense Center, led the Declaration of Graduates, while Lt. Col. Jojit M. Casiรฑo (Res), Commanding Officer of the 803rd Ready Reserve Infantry Battalion, administered the Oath of Enlistment.
In his keynote message, Col. Taboy encouraged the graduates to uphold patriotism, leadership, and service as they continue their journey beyond the ROTC program. The ceremony formally recognized the cadets' dedication and commitment to becoming responsible citizen soldiers.

The 2nd Regional Community Defense Group (2RCDG), Reserve Command, Philippine Army (RESCOM, PA), facilitated the Philippine Army Advance ROTC Cadet Qualifying Examination (PAARCQE) at Isabela State University-Echague Campus, Isabela, last May 30, 2026. The examination was administered to Advance ROTC Academic Phase Training (ARAPT) MS 31/32 CL 28-26 and MS 41/42 CL 27-26 cadets, in coordination with the PAARCQE Team from Headquarters RESCOM, PA, led by Lt. Col. Jay B. Olarte, Deputy, Office of Ethical Standards and Public Accountability (OESPA).
The examination evaluated the cadets' academic competence, military knowledge, and leadership potential for greater responsibilities within the Reserve Force. It also served as a crucial measure in identifying potential reserve officers who exemplify discipline, integrity, and commitment to service.
The successful conduct of the examination reflects RESCOM's continued efforts to strengthen leadership development and produce competent, service-oriented members of the Reserve Force.

The Reserve Command, Philippine Army (RESCOM, PA) conducted a Flag Raising Ceremony and Donning of RESCOM Patch for eleven newly assigned personnel, composed of seven officers and four enlisted personnel, led by BGen Patricio S. Tomales, Deputy Commander, RESCOM, PA, at Headquarters, RESCOM, PA, today, June 1, 2026.
In his message, BGen Tomales emphasized that the patch is more than a uniform insignia. He described it as a symbol of identity, belonging, responsibility, and commitment to service. He further underscored the importance of professionalism, competence, and dedication in strengthening the reserve force, maintaining public trust, and supporting the Philippine Army's mission of safeguarding the nation.
As a symbolic and meaningful tradition, the ceremony marked the beginning of the personnel's journey within the command. It reinforced the importance of commitment, accountability, and dedication in carrying out RESCOM's mandate and supporting the Reserve Force.

Reserve Command, Philippine Army (RESCOM, PA), conducted a Camp Tour and Limited Warfighting Competency (LWC) Demonstration for the On-the-Job Training (OJT) students of Casa Hacienda de Tejeros on 30 May 2026 at Headquarters RESCOM, PA, Camp Riego de Dios, Tanza, Cavite.
The activity was organized following the coordination visit of BGen Patricio S. Tomales PA, Deputy Commander, RESCOM, PA, with Mr. Quinto, Rosario Tourism Officer, at Casa Hacienda de Tejeros on 23 May 2026. The engagement aimed to strengthen civil-military relations and provide participants with exposure to the operational environment, military heritage, and institutional history of RESCOM, PA.
Participants underwent a guided lobby tour, observed the Limited Warfighting Competency demonstration, and participated in Basic Marksmanship Familiarization facilitated by designated RESCOM Training School personnel and training staff. The activity also included interaction with facilitators and unit representatives to further familiarize the visitors with military systems, doctrines, and organizational functions.
The engagement reinforced collaboration between military and tourism stakeholders through an educational and immersive learning environment. By opening command installations to the public, RESCOM continues to bridge military function with historical awareness, strengthening community ties and national pride.
