Please know that the Philippine National Police Academy Cadet Admission Test is no different to an entrance examination being administered by other colleges and universities as a requirement for admission.

The PNPACAT CY 2023 is tentatively scheduled in August (subject to the approval of the C, PNP) at the different testing centers nationwide.

While we enjoin all applicants to prepare, we discourage them from money to buy printed “reviewers” and apps. We don’t consider these as reviewers but rather as practice questions. We are certain that none of those exact questions will appear in the actual PNPACAT. Questions every PNPACAT are carefully deliberated by the members of the Test Development Committee and they see to it that no questions are repeated from previous admission tests.

Applicants may instead refer to their High School notes on general education subjects. The coverage of the PNPACAT may include but not limited to the following:

EXIT CALL

An exit call is a procedure used by the Philippine National Police (PNP) to formally end a duty tour of an individual officer or a unit. The exit call serves as a final check to ensure that all tasks and responsibilities have been properly addressed before leaving the station or detachment. It is also a means of handing over the responsibility of maintaining peace and order in the area to the next shift.

CHECKPOINT

According to the definition of the PNP, a checkpoint is “a place where the military or police check vehicular or pedestrian traffic in order to enforce circulation control measures and other laws, orders, and regulations which involves only a brief detention of travelers during which the vehicle’s occupants are required to answer a brief question or two.”

There are two possible kinds of checkpoints that you may encounter while on the road. The first is a regular checkpoint which is well lit with signage all over the place and with barriers set up in order to properly facilitate traffic through. Think of it like a toll booth on a highway. The second is a hastily-setup checkpoint. This is set up to block the escape of lawless elements from a crime scene and is also established when nearby checkpoints are ignored or during hot pursuit operations. It is set up by the police personnel conducting mobile patrol on board a marked police vehicle, or those conducting ISO and foot patrol operations within the vicinity/periphery of the national or provincial highways.

This will typically consist of a team leader, spotter, spokesperson, investigation sub-team, search/ arresting sub-team, security sub-team, and blocking/pursuing sub-team. This kind of checkpoint will also come with A collapsible signage with markings: “Stop, Police Checkpoint”, indicating also the name of the concerned police office/unit conducting the operations.

BARANGGAY VISIT

IN PHOTO: PLT MICOSA led the visitation of different Barangay in Santa Rosa City together with PNP personnel and cadets from Philippine National Police Academy.

The Philippine National Police is conducting this dialogue with different Brgy. Officials for the purpose of strict implementation of anti-criminality campaign and mobilization of force multipliers. This is also to monitor the peace and order in the area of responsibility, they can also had a coordination with the PNP to resolve criminal activities and other problems in the area.
