Fifty-three years ago, a vision took shape — the Naval Research and Development Unit (NRDU) was established to fuel the Philippines' Self-Reliant Defense Posture (SRDP) Program under Project Sta. Barbara.
What began as a unit has grown into a lasting legacy. NRDU pioneered the country's own missile systems, rockets, and defense equipment, cementing the Philippines' place among capable nations in the region.
