The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Cavite, led by Regional Director Marissa C. Argente, together with Provincial Director Lilibeth R. Chavez, OIC-Chief Julita C. Salvacion, and Planning Officer Froy H. Galapon, paid a courtesy visit to Hon. Bryan Revilla last April 29, 2026 to discuss its programs and services as well as possible collaboration areas for local economic development.

Key discussions included updates on the One Town, One Product (OTOP) Program, performance of OTOP Hubs, and expansion of OTOP-accredited stores. The agency also expressed appreciation for the Congressmanโ€™s continued support to MSMEs particularly the OTOPreneurs and discussed priority funding requirements for the 2027 budget.

It was also agreed to maintain close coordination and keep Cong. Revilla informed of the programs and projects of DTI.

Additionally, the meeting touched on the congressional support for trade fairs, as well as opportunities to further strengthen the creative industry sector through policy and program support.

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Region IV-A Cavite, headed by Assistant Regional Director Ms. Revelyn A. Cortez, together with Provincial Director Ms. Lilibeth R. Chavez, CPD Chief Mr. Rexel B. Amparo, OIC-BDD Chief Ms. Julita C. Salvacion, and Planning Officer Mr. Froy H. Galapon, paid a courtesy visit to Hon. Aniela Bianca D. Tolentino, Representative of the 8th District of Cavite, on April 28, 2026.

During the visit, DTI presented its accomplishment report and outlined upcoming programs and activities for the 8th District, including the One Town, One Product (OTOP) Program and the Kapatid Mentor ME (KMME) Program.

Part of the discussion centered on the development of the cacao and coffee industries. DTI-Cavite shared its ongoing initiatives, including capacity-building trainings, product development support, and market access programs to enhance the competitiveness of local cacao and coffee producers.

In response, Hon. Tolentino expressed her strong support for these industries and conveyed her willingness to collaborate and provide assistance in upcoming initiatives.

The courtesy visit between DTI Cavite and Hon. Aniela Bianca D. Tolentino reinforced a strong partnership in advancing local economic development in the 8th District of Cavite.

On April 27, 2026, DTI Region IV-A Cavite, led by Assistant Regional Director Ms. Revelyn A. Cortez, together with DTI Cavite Provincial Director Ms. Lilibeth R. Chavez, CPD Chief Mr. Rexel B. Amparo, OIC-BDD Chief Ms. Julita C. Salvacion, and Planning Officer Mr. Froy H. Galapon, conducted a courtesy visit to Hon. Lani Mercado Revilla.

During the meeting, DTI presented its accomplishments, ongoing programs, and initiatives to support micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Cavite, particularly in the 2nd District of Cavite.

The discussion focused on strengthening MSME support through trade fairs, particularly highlighting Bacoor products. Congresswoman Revilla proposed a Regional Trade Fair featuring CALABARZON products, with the House of Representatives as a potential venue, to expand market reach and increase MSME participation.

Updates on the Kapatid Mentor ME (KMME) Program and One Town, One Product (OTOP) Program were also presented, covering last yearโ€™s graduates and ongoing beneficiaries.

The Congresswoman emphasized close coordination with DTI and encouraged MSMEs to engage with her office for possible marketing and other support.

In addition, DTI discussed its Consumer Protection Division (CPD) initiatives, including continuous price monitoring, active participation in the Local Price Coordinating Council, and the conduct of Fair Trade Law seminars to safeguard consumer welfare.

Amparo, OIC-BDD Chief Ms. Julita C. Salvacion, and Planinng Officer Mr. Froy H. Galapon, conducted a courtesy visit to Hon. Roy Maulanin Loyola, Congressman of the 5th District of Cavite, to present the agencyโ€™s accomplishments, ongoing programs, and key concerns.

The discussion highlighted strengthened support for piรฑa and cacao farmers through product development and entrepreneurship initiatives, as well as the importance of close coordination between DTI and the Congressmanโ€™s office to maximize assistance for local stakeholders.

Concerns on agricultural sustainability were also raised, emphasizing the need to support farmers to prevent long-term impacts on local production and livelihoods.

Additionally, DTI reaffirmed its commitment to consumer protection through continuous price monitoring, active participation of the Local Price Coordinating Council, and regular Fair Trade Law seminars.

On April 23, 2026, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Cavite, in partnership with the Local Government Unit of Naic, successfully conducted the seminar โ€œScaling for Success: Unlocking Capital and Funding Sourcesโ€ at the Triple 8 Building in Naic, Cavite.

The activity gathered MSMEs and aspiring entrepreneurs to learn about available financing options and practical strategies for business growth. Resource speakers and facilitators included SBCorp Provincial Loan Coordinator Ms. Jean Camille Duran, BPI Naic Branch Manager Ms. Jena Obnamia, BPI AIA Branch Area Manager Ms. Michelle T. Conrado, Bangko Mabuhay Loan Marketing Manager James Molod, Bangko Mabuhay Marketing Officer Cedrick Figueroa, OIC-BPLO Head of LGU Naic Ms. Krizza Paula Nazareno, BPLO Officer Mr. Jonathan Jerson U. Subire, NC TIDA Joneil โ€œJunjunโ€ Jornales, and NCBC Patrick Hilom.

The seminar featured presentations on MSME loan programs, financial planning, insurance, and responsible debt management, followed by a one-on-one consultation with participating financial institutions.

Through this initiative, DTI Cavite continues to empower local entrepreneurs by improving access to financing and strengthening their capacity for sustainable business growth.
