On March 19, 2026, the Department of Justice – Region VII, through its Committee on Gender and Development (GAD) VII, headed by 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗮 𝗟𝘂𝗶𝘀𝗮 𝗢𝗻𝗴, conducted a basic training on Aikido and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu as part of the month-long celebration of Women’s Month.

The activity aimed to promote empowerment, safety, and self-defense among participants.

The Department of Justice Action Center – Region VII (DOJAC 7), through Legal Assistant II Rhea Claire Ardimer and Process Server Amedio Fuentes of the DOJ – Office of the Regional Prosecutor, participated in the Information and Service Caravan on the Child Labor Prevention and Elimination Program held on March 26, 2026, at the Municipal Covered Court in Malabuyoc, Cebu.

The activity was conducted in celebration of National Women’s Month and Girl Child Week, highlighting the government’s continued commitment to protecting the rights and welfare of women and children.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗟𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 (𝗗𝗢𝗟𝗘) 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗩𝗜𝗜, 𝗶𝗻 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗯𝘂𝘆𝗼𝗰, 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗮𝘆𝗼𝗿 𝗘𝗿𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗮 “𝗘𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗴” 𝗣𝗶𝗲𝗱𝗮𝗱, 𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗹 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝘀.

Aside from DOJAC 7, the caravan was also attended by various partner agencies, including the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region VII, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Region VII, and the Department of Agriculture (DA).

Participating agencies also took part in the signing of a pledge of commitment to fully support the implementation of the Philippine Program Against Child Labor and the relevant provisions of ILO Convention No. 190.

The Department of Justice Region VII, through its Gender and Development (GAD) Committee under the 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗮 𝗟𝘂𝗶𝘀𝗮 𝗢𝗻𝗴, conducted a basic ballroom and cha-cha dance session as one of its activities in celebration of Women’s Month. The activity was held on March 19, 2026.

The dance session was facilitated by intern students from Leyte Normal University (LNU) – Bachelor of Arts in Political Science program, namely: Merielle V. Luangco, Charles Wendell Dagandan, Jhon Mark L. Torres, and Claire R. Malabuyoc.

The Department of Justice Region VII, represented by Supervising Prosecutor Mark Joseph Gonzaga of the Department of Justice Action Center – Region VII (DOJAC 7), attended and participated in the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing for the creation of the Cebu Seaport Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group, as well as the opening ceremony of the Drug Interdiction Training held earlier today, March 24, 2026, at Hawanan ni Lapu-Lapu, Philippine Coast Guard District Central Visayas, Arellano Boulevard, Cebu City.

Last February 20, 2026, the Department of Justice Action Center Region VII (DOJAC 7) was invited to ❝𝐁𝐨𝐦𝐛𝐨𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐲 𝐁𝐢𝐠𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐨𝐧 𝐁𝐨𝐦𝐛𝐨 𝐑𝐚𝐝𝐲𝐨 𝐂𝐞𝐛𝐮 𝐃𝐘𝐌𝐅 to share with listeners and Facebook Live viewers what the Center is all about — its mission and vision, the legal services it provides, and who can avail of these services.

𝐃𝐎𝐉–𝐍𝐏𝐒 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝟕 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐂𝐀𝐃 𝟕 𝟏𝐬𝐭 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠

On February 27, 2026, the Department of Justice – National Prosecution Service (DOJ–NPS) Region 7 took part in the 1st Quarter Meeting of the Regional Inter-Agency Committee on Anti-Illegal Drugs (RICG) 7, the regional arm of the Inter-Agency Committee on Anti-Illegal Drugs (ICAD) established in 2017.

The meeting was presided over by PDEA 7 Regional Director and RICG 7 Chairperson Joel B. Plaza and was attended by representatives from its four clusters: Justice, Enforcement, Advocacy, and Rehabilitation and Reintegration.

During the session, RICG 7 reviewed its accomplishments for the 4th Quarter of Calendar Year 2025 and presented its planned programs and activities for 2026.
