ZUMBA WELLNESS ACTIVITY | October 22, 2026 💃🩷
LGU-Toledo employees holding offices at the Toledo Sports Center came together for an afternoon of fitness, fun, and camaraderie through a Zumba Wellness Activity, followed by the traditional Flag Retreat.

The activity served as a refreshing reminder of the importance of health, wellness, and work-life balance in public service.

TOLEDO CITY GOVERNMENT FACILITATES CONSULTATION WITH DAS HOMEOWNER'S ASSOCIATION TO ADDRESS BOUNDARY DISPUTES AND PROPERTY CONCERNS

TOLEDO CITY, CEBU | October 13, 2026 — The City Mayor’s Office, through the Toledo City Urban Poor Commission (TCUPC), headed by Executive Director Atty. Jeah Jean E. Gacang, conducted a consultation meeting with the Don Andres Soriano Homeowners Association (DASHA) in Barangay DAS, Toledo City, to address boundary disputes, property encroachments, and other concerns involving Lot No. 6367.

The consultation was attended by Engr. Dindo Elimino, Survey Team Head of the City Engineering Office, and Hon. Jeffrey Borja, Chairperson of the Sangguniang Panlungsod Committee on Urban Poor Affairs, together with his staff. Also present were Barangay Councilors Basadre and Omayan, representing Barangay Captain Marvin Prahinog.

During the meeting, residents raised concerns and sought clarifications regarding property boundaries, encroachments, and possible remedies. These matters were discussed and addressed by the panel headed by Atty. Gacang, emphasizing proper documentation, coordination, and collective action in resolving the issues.

As a proposed remedy, a boundary survey by a licensed Geodetic Engineer was recommended to establish and verify the property boundaries. DASHA took the initiative to consult its members and conduct a vote on whether to engage a private Geodetic Engineer or seek assistance from the City Government.

Following the consultation and voting, all attendees and a majority of the residents expressed their consent to have the boundary survey conducted by the City Government. Accordingly, DASHA approved and passed a resolution formally requesting the City Planning and Development Office (CPDO), with the assistance of the City Engineering Office, to undertake the survey.

The TCUPC likewise extends its sincere appreciation to the Barangay DAS officials, headed by Barangay Captain Marvin Prahinog and represented during the consultation by Councilors Basadre and Omayan Omayan, for their support and cooperation in facilitating the meeting and addressing community concerns.

The initiative underscores the importance of community participation, interoffice coordination, and constructive dialogue in pursuing orderly, transparent, and lawful solutions to housing and property-related concerns.

The Urban Poor Federation (UPFED) held its monthly meeting, together with the Oath-Taking Ceremony of the newly elected officers of Matab-ang Proper Homeowners Association (MPHOA).

Congratulations to the new officers as they begin their journey of service and leadership. May they continue to lead with integrity, commitment, unity, and dedication in serving the MPHOA community.

The City Legal Office, BPLO/DTI, BAC, and TCUPC joined hands for an outreach program at Sangi Daycare Center, bringing smiles and joy to 62 daycare learners.

More than a celebration, it was a simple reminder of what public service is all about: serving with compassion, working together, and giving back to the community. ❤️
