Honorary Consulate General of Bangladesh in Visayas

The Bangladesh Consulate General in Visayas joins the Bangladesh Embassy in Manila on the historic occasion of the 52nd anniversary of Bangladesh's independence and the National Day of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, March 27, 2023, at the Dusit Thani Manila.

On February 9, 2023, Bangladesh Ambassador to the Philippines, His Excellency F.M. Borhan Uddin, Counsellor Sayma Razzaki, and Mr. Virgilio Espeleta,the Honorary Consul General of Bangladesh in the Visayas, paid a courtesy visit to the Governor of Bohol, Hon. Erico Aristotle Aumentado, and Vice Governor, Hon. Dionisio Victor Balite, at their offices. The Bohol Economic Development and Investment Promotions Office (BEDIPO) Head, Ms. Maria Fe Dominise, and the Bohol Provincial Tourism Office (BPTO) Senior Tourism Operations Officer, Ms. Joanne Pinat, are also in attendance. On the same day, the Bangladesh envoy also paid a visit to the Bohol Mayor, Hon. Jane Yap, and Cathy Torremocha, the City Administrator.

The discussion's major priority is collaboration in the areas of tourism, trade, and agriculture as Bohol and Bangladesh establish their sisterhood pact.
