In celebration of Farmers and Fisherfolk Month, the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Region 7 (BFAR-7) conducted the KADIWA ng Pangulo sa BFAR as one of the major highlights of the event, wherein five (5) fisherfolk associations under the Special Area for Agricultural Development (SAAD) Phase II Program participated in the activity.
The activity served as a platform for farmers and fisherfolk associations to showcase and market their fresh and value-added products directly to consumers, while promoting local livelihood initiatives and supporting community-based enterprises.

Representing Bohol Province were the Tabon Seaweeds Farmers Association (TASFA) of Barangay San Francisco, Talibon, which displayed their freshly caught lambay, and the Aloja Batuan Tilapia Growers Association (ATGA) of Barangay Aloja, Batuan, which showcased their freshly harvested tilapia.
Meanwhile, participating associations from Cebu Province included the Hinablan Farmers and Fishermen Association (HIFAFISA) of Barangay Ginablan, Badian; the Ginatilan Fishermen Association (GIFA) of Barangay Poblacion, Ginatilan; and the Makugihong Mananagat sa Arbor (MAMSA) of Barangay Arbor, Boljoon. The associations proudly featured their locally produced value-added products during the activity.
The KADIWA ng Pangulo initiative continues to strengthen market access opportunities for local farmers and fisherfolk while highlighting the importance of sustainable livelihood development in rural communities.
