About DA-BFAR SAAD Phase 2:
The Department of Agriculture - Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources-Special Area for Agricultural Development (DA-BFAR SAAD) Program Phase 2 aims to contribute to poverty reduction and improve the living conditions of vulnerable fisherfolk and their communities by providing sustainable livelihood opportunities and support for poor fishing sectors. These interventions intend to complement the DA banner programs and assist beneficiaries in establishing community-based fishery enterprises. The BFAR-SAAD strives to enhance food security and promote economic growth in targeted areas across the Philippines.

๐’๐€๐Œ๐๐Ž๐€๐, ๐‚๐„๐๐” โ€” Gipahigayon ang Refresher Training Course on Milkfish Culture with Feeding Management Training alang sa mga miyembro sa Ponong Seaside Fisherfolk Association (POSFA) sa Poblacion, Samboan, Cebu niadtong bulan sa Setyembre 2026.

Pipila sa mga hisgutan sa pagbansay mao ang hustong pag-atiman sa bangus, pagdumala sa pagpakaon, pagmonitor sa pagtubo sa isda, ug batakang pagdumala sa fish cage. Gipahinumdoman usab ang mga partisipante sa hustong pagdumala sa feeds, tukmang iskedyul sa pagpakaon, ug pagmintinar sa maayong kalidad sa tubig aron masuportahan ang maayong pagtubo sa bangus.

Nahimo usab nga higayon ang pagbansay alang sa mga miyembro sa POSFA nga ipaambit ang ilang mga kasinatian ug hagit sa pag-atiman sa bangus, ingon man ang paghisgot sa praktikal nga mga paagi aron mapauswag ang ilang pagdumala sa proyekto.

Pinaagi sa maong kalihokan, napalig-on ang kahibalo ug pagsalig sa mga benepisyaryo sa DA-BFAR SAAD Phase II Program sa pagdumala sa ilang milkfish culture project, ilabina sa hustong pagpakaon ug pag-atiman sa ilang mga isda alang sa mas maayong produksiyon ug pagpadayon sa ilang panginabuhian. # # #

๐‚๐Ž๐‘๐“๐„๐’, ๐๐Ž๐‡๐Ž๐‹ - Gipahigayon sa Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) Region 7 pinaagi sa Special Area for Agricultural Development (SAAD) Phase II ang Post-Harvest ug Value-Added Training alang sa mga miyembro sa Solomon Fishermen Association (SOLFA) sa pakigtambayayong sa College of Business Management (CBM) Department sa Bohol Island State University (BISU)โ€“Main Campus.

Gitambongan ang kalihokan sa Dean ug Chairwoman sa CBM Department, uban sa piniling mga estudyante nga aktibong miapil sa pagbansay. Ang maong kolaborasyon nagpalig-on sa panag-uban sa gobyerno, academe, ug fisherfolk organizations alang sa pagpalambo sa kahibalo, entrepreneurship, ug fishery enterprise development.

Pinaagi sa training, gipalig-on ang kahibalo ug kahanas sa mga miyembro sa SOLFA bahin sa hustong post-harvest handling, fish processing, product development, value addition, food safety, ug marketing. Gipakita usab ang nagkalain-laing pamaagi sa pagproseso sa preskong isda aron mahimong mas mamaligyaon ug adunay mas taas nga bili nga mga produkto.

Lakip sa mga produkto nga gipakita ug gipraktis sa mga partisipante mao ang fish balls, fish tempura, fish sausage, boneless bangus, fish chips, fish chicharon, ug fish noodles. Pinaagi sa hands-on activities, nakat-on ang mga partisipante sa hustong pagproseso samtang gihatagan og gibug-aton ang sanitasyon, food safety, kalidad sa produkto, ug hustong pagdumala sa hilaw nga materyales.

Dugang niini, nahimong oportunidad ang partisipasyon sa mga estudyante sa CBM alang sa experiential learning ug community engagement, diin ilang nasinati ang aktuwal nga aplikasyon sa mga konsepto sa entrepreneurship ug fishery-based enterprise development.

Gilauman nga pinaagi sa value addition, ang SOLFA makahimo sa pagpalapad sa ilang mga produkto, pagpangita og bag-ong merkado, ug pagmugna og dugang nga tinubdan sa kita gawas sa pagbaligya lamang og preskong isda. Ang kalihokan nagpakita usab sa padayong paningkamot sa BFAR SAAD Phase II sa paghatag og kapasidad ug oportunidad sa mga fisherfolk pinaagi sa capacity building, enterprise development, ug estratehikong pakigtambayayong.

Pinaagi sa pakigtambayayong sa BISUโ€“Main Campus CBM Department, nagpadayon ang SAAD Phase II sa pagdugtong sa kahibalo gikan sa academe ngadto sa aktuwal nga panginabuhian sa mga komunidad, alang sa mas lig-on ug malungtarong kalamboan sa mga fisherfolk sa Bohol. # # #
