Video highlights from the TourISM WorCS initiative held at Waterfront Hotel for its employees, showcasing how the tourism industry plays an important role in promoting awareness, protection, and empowermentโ€”especially for women and children.

The activity emphasizes the importance of creating safe, respectful, and inclusive environments within tourism establishments. Through discussions, shared learning, and active participation, employees gained deeper understanding of safeguarding principles and the responsibility of the industry in upholding human dignity and rights.

This initiative reflects a continuing commitment to responsible tourismโ€”where service goes beyond hospitality, and becomes a platform for advocacy, safety, and social responsibility.

Mabuhay!

The Tourism Industry Skills Program (TISP) of the Department of Tourism โ€“ Central Visayas proudly expresses its heartfelt gratitude for the awards and recognition bestowed upon our unit.

These honors stand as a meaningful affirmation of our continued commitment to empowering communitiesโ€”from grassroots stakeholders to tourism professionalsโ€”through relevant and impactful training programs. Each recognition inspires us to further strengthen our efforts in promoting excellence, inclusivity, sustainability, and professionalism across all sectors of the tourism industry.

We extend our deepest appreciation to our valued stakeholdersโ€”Local Government Units (LGUs), Community-Based Tourism Organizations (CBTOs), National Government Agencies (NGAs), tour guides, members of the academe, as well as our speakers and trainersโ€”whose unwavering support, collaboration, and shared commitment made these achievements possible. We also sincerely thank our Regional Office, under the leadership of OIC-Regional Director Gelena Asis-Dimpas, and the Department of Tourism, through the Office of Human Capital Development, for their guidance, trust, and recognition.

As we move forward, TISP remains dedicated to shaping a more competent, resilient, and world-class tourism workforce.
