Today, at SM City Consolacion, about 2,506 hardworking drivers of MC taxi drivers, TNVS and delivery service in Cebu receive the DSWD cash relief assistance (CRA).

DSWD 7 personnel conduct the payout in coordination with the local government unit and SM Consolacion.

This is in response to the directive of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. to the department and other government agencies to provide immediate relief and support to affected transport workers.

𝑹𝒆𝒂𝒄𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒇𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓, 𝒔𝒆𝒓𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒃𝒆𝒕𝒕𝒆𝒓 💙

Local Health Insurance Offices (LHIOs) and Satellite Office sustained their regular field activities in support of Open Government Week, reaching more members and bringing essential services closer to communities located far from PhilHealth offices.

Key initiatives included YAKAP Caravans that promoted primary preventive care with mobile services that delivered frontline assistance directly to communities, information, education, and communication (IEC) sessions aimed at strengthening awareness of members’ entitlements and available benefit packages, and dialogues with stakeholders.

In support of the "𝘛𝘶𝘨𝘬𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘯 𝘒𝘰, 𝘛𝘢𝘮𝘯𝘢𝘯 𝘒𝘰" backyard gardening program of the government, DEPDev 7 employees and some of their family members joined the vegetable planting as one of the activities under the Wellness Wednesday Mental Health Program of DEPDev Region 7.

The backyard gardening is a program launched by Department of Agriculture (DA) and the Department of Interior of Local Government (DILG) in urging families in Central Visayas to grow vegetables as a practical step toward food security. It is an initiative to expand food supply and empower communities to produce their own food.

DEPDev 7 also believes that the gardening is a good activity for mental wellness as it encourages mindfulness and emotional balance, strengthens connection with nature and with other colleagues, and enhances focus and patience.

The Office extends its gratitude to the Cebu City Agriculture Department for providing the vegetable seedlings for DEPDev's small backyard garden.

"TWSP has really helped me a lot. The biggest impact is the new skills I learned, which I can use for employment, livelihood, or other job opportunities." 🍞

That's Trexcy E. Montillano, 22, a Talisay City resident who completed a Bread and Pastry Production course under TESDA's Training for Work Scholarship Program (TWSP). 🇵🇭

Montillano, an IT graduate from Talisay City College, enrolled in the program despite the course being outside her degree field — completing a month-long training from December 2025 to January 2026 and receiving a Bread and Pastry National Certificate II (NC II). ✅

She now helps her sister run a bread business while looking for employment. 💼

Under President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr's commitment to skills development, TESDA's TWSP is providing free training, competency assessment, certification, and P160 per training day allowance to improve Filipinos' employability and livelihood prospects. 🇵🇭

Phase 3 training (Grades 6, 9, 10) was completed on May 23, ahead of the June 8 opening of classes for School Year 2026-2027. ✅
The reforms are part of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s priority agenda to overhaul the national basic education curriculum and improve learning outcomes. 💙
