Giadopt sa House of Representatives ang Senate version sa bill nga nagtakda og 5-year term para sa Barangay ug Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) officials.

Niadtong September 16, 2026, opisyal nga gi-record sa House nga ilang gi-adopt ang Senate Bill isip amendment sa House Bill No. 10971.

Kung mahimong balaod, ang BSK Elections nga gikatakdang November 2026 ipahigayon sa November 2028, ug ang term sa Barangay ug SK officials mahimong lima ka tuig.

The bill also sets a 2-𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗺 𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗯𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝘀 and a 1-𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗺 𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗞 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝘀. Incumbents benefiting from the proposed extension will be considered to have served one full five-year term.

Kinsa ang makadagan pa sa 2028? Kinsa ang dili na? 👀

Mao kini ang importanteng punto sa Senate Bill No. 2387 nga gi-approve sa Senate sa third and final reading:

1𝘀𝘁 𝗧𝗲𝗿𝗺 – Pwede pa modagan pag-usab sa 2028.
2𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗲𝗿𝗺 – Dili na pwede modagan pag-usab sa parehas nga posisyon sa 2028.
3𝗿𝗱 𝗧𝗲𝗿𝗺 – Dili na pwede modagan pag-usab sa 2028, apan magpadayon sa pag-alagad hangtod matapos ang kasamtangang termino.

⚠️ Importante: Senate-approved pa lamang kini ug kinahanglan pa og bicameral reconciliation ug final enactment into law uban sa counterpart measure sa House of Representatives.

Uban niini nga lakang, the November 2, 2026 Barangay and SK Election is postponed to 2028, 𝘀𝘂𝗯𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗶𝘀𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 and 𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗮𝘄.
