The mission of compassion comes full circle.
Today April 30, 2026, Cebu Caritas Inc. concluded its Multi-Purpose Cash Assistance (MPCA) distribution for earthquake-affected communities at Our Lady of Visitation Parish – Bagay, Daanbantayan, Cebu, serving 100 parishioner-beneficiaries.
The activity was prayerfully opened through a Holy Mass presided over by Rev. Fr. Jimmy M. Tolentin, and made possible with the dedicated support of Parish Caritas volunteers, whose service ensured the smooth and meaningful conduct of the distribution.
This marks the final leg of the MPCA rollout, following distributions in San Remigio and Tabogon, as part of the emergency and early recovery response to the combined multi-hazards affecting communities in Masbate and Cebu.
This initiative is made possible through the generosity of Caritas Internationalis, coursed through Caritas Philippines, in partnership with Cebu Caritas Inc.
As this phase concludes, our commitment continues—walking with communities toward recovery, resilience, and renewed hope.

Cebu Caritas Inc. concludes the voucher system implementation with a continued commitment to serve with compassion and faith.
Today April 30, 2026, Cebu Caritas Inc. carried out the final distribution of Non-Food Items through the Voucher System at Sta. Rosa de Lima Parish in Daanbantayan—marking the closing leg of this series of Emergency and Early Recovery Assistance for communities affected by the combined multi-hazards in the provinces of Masbate and Cebu.
A total of 100 beneficiaries, particularly parishioners from Our Lady of Visitation Parish in Bagay, Daanbantayan, received support through this initiative, ensuring access to essential non-food items in a dignified and responsive manner.
The activity was grounded in prayer through a Eucharistic celebration presided over by Rev. Fr. Jimmy M. Tolentin, Cebu Caritas Program Director, with Rev. Fr. Randy Nebria as co-celebrant—bringing spiritual strength and unity to the community.
This initiative was made possible through the generous support of Caritas Internationalis, coursed through Caritas Philippines and Cebu Caritas Inc., in partnership with UNIGO SUPERMALL as supplier, together with the committed service of our Parish Caritas Volunteers who ensured the smooth and organized conduct of the activity.
As this voucher-based response concludes, Cebu Caritas Inc. remains steadfast in its mission—continuing to walk with communities towards recovery, resilience, and renewed hope.

Cebu Caritas Inc. continues its mission of bringing hope and restoring dignity to communities in need. On the same day, April 29, 2026, Cebu Caritas Inc. conducted the Distribution of Non-Food Items through a Voucher System at San Isidro Parish in Tabogon, Cebu—part of the ongoing Emergency and Early Recovery Assistance for communities affected by the combined multi-hazards in the provinces of Masbate and Cebu.
A total of 200 beneficiaries from Tabogon received support through this initiative, allowing them to access essential non-food items in a more dignified and flexible manner.
The activity began with a Holy Mass led by Rev. Fr. Jimmy M. Tolentin, Cebu Caritas Program Director, setting a tone of faith, unity, and compassion for the entire initiative.
This initiative was made possible through the support of Caritas Internationalis, through Caritas Philippines and Cebu Caritas Inc., in partnership with Uwell Marketing Corporation as supplier, together with the dedicated service of our Parish Caritas Volunteers who helped ensure a smooth and organized distribution.
As the mission continues, Cebu Caritas Inc. looks ahead to the next outreach in Daanbantayan, extending the same spirit of service and compassion to more communities in need.

Cebu Caritas Inc., in faithful service to its mission of uplifting the lives and dignity of the anawim, successfully conducted the Distribution of Non-Food Items through a Voucher System on April 29, 2026, at San Nepomuceno Parish in San Remigio, Cebu.
This initiative is part of the ongoing Emergency and Early Recovery Assistance for communities affected by the combined multi-hazards in the provinces of Masbate and Cebu. Through this effort, 200 beneficiaries from San Remigio were supported, providing them access to essential non-food items in a dignified and flexible manner.
The activity was graced with a Holy Mass presided over by Rev. Fr. Jimmy M. Tolentin, Cebu Caritas Program Director, grounding the initiative in faith and compassion.
This meaningful response was made possible through the support of Caritas Internationalis, coursed through Caritas Philippines and Cebu Caritas Inc., in partnership with WINCO Department Store as supplier—together with the dedicated efforts of our Parish Caritas Volunteers, whose service and compassion on the ground helped ensure the smooth and organized distribution.

The activity opened with a Holy Mass presided over by Rev. Fr. Jimmy M. Tolentin, grounding the initiative in faith and solidarity.

𝙋𝘼𝙍𝙏 2 | HATAG PAGLAUM: Ayuda Para sa mga Drivers
April 26, 2026, the spirit of Hatag Paglaum carried on at the National Shrine of St. Joseph Parish in Mandaue City, extending support to another 150 public jeepney drivers.
In response to the ongoing rise in fuel prices, 150 “Bags of Love” containing rice and canned goods were distributed—offering a simple yet meaningful source of relief for our hardworking drivers.
This initiative is carried out under the leadership of Most Rev. Alberto S. Uy, D.D., Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Cebu, together with Rev. Fr. Alex K. Cola, Jr. (Executive Director) and Rev. Fr. Jimmy M. Tolentin (Program Director).
With the support of CCI Staff, and through the dedicated service of volunteers from Parish Caritas, COERR, and YSLEP.
Together, we continue to bring hope and compassion in action to those who need it most.

𝙋𝘼𝙍𝙏 1 | HATAG PAGLAUM: Ayuda Para sa mga Drivers
Amid the continuous rise in fuel prices, even the smallest help can bring meaningful relief.
Today April 26, 2026, Hatag Paglaum was held at the Archdiocesan Shrine and Parish of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel (The Clean One) in Cebu City, where 150 public jeepney drivers received “Bags of Love” containing rice, canned goods, and noodles.
This initiative reflects compassion in action—offering comfort and hope to our drivers who tirelessly work to support their families and serve the community.
