Central Visayas Government Employees Multi-Purpose Cooperative was organized in August 8, 1991 per registration number CBU-C-093 with the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA), a government body created under Republic Act 6938 to govern and supervise all cooperatives established in the Philippines. On January 18, 2010 and consistent with the requirement of Article 144 of Republic Act 9520, the Cooperative Development Authority again granted to the cooperative new Certificate of Registration No. 9520-07006369 and amended its Articles of Cooperation and/or By-laws per registration number CEB-A-868 dated June, 2012.
