This powerful message from DOST Assistant Secretary for Countryside Development Engr. Maria Teresa de Guzman set the tone for the opening of the Main Conference of the 𝟏𝟏𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐬 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 (𝐂𝐕𝐇𝐑𝐈𝐂) 𝐚𝐭 𝐂𝐞𝐛𝐮 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐥 𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝟏𝟒, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔.

Bringing together researchers, doctors, government leaders, educators, and development partners, the conference highlights how health research can lead to stronger healthcare programs, better disease prevention efforts, improved access to health services, and science-based solutions for communities.

Opening highlights include the Opening of poster exhibits featuring health research and innovations from across Central Visayas, keynote messages from the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) and the Department of Economy, Planning and Development (DEPDev), and plenary sessions on evidence-informed policymaking, sustainable health programs, and health innovation commercialization.

The three-day conference, which began on May 13, will conclude on May 15, 2026, with the awarding of outstanding health research entries.
