Western Visayas (Region VI)
Saw ~550k foreign arrivals and ~4.76 m domestic in 2023
Iloilo City had ~1.4 m total arrivals by 2020
Western Visayas was fastest-growing region in 2022 (9.3%)

Central Visayas (Region VII)
In 2023: ~1.87 m foreign + 3.61 m domestic = 5.49 m visits
In 2024: ~7.5 m total visits (3.2 m domestic, 2.5 m foreign) generating ₱126 bn — marking ~80% recovery to pre‑pandemic .

Eastern Visayas (Region VIII)
In 2023: ~26k foreign + 1.31 m domestic = 1.33 m visits .
In 2024: 1.6 m tourists, ₱39.3 bn revenues (+21.7% increase vs 2023)
Q1 2025 saw 1.65 million international travelers, implying a plateau compared to Q4 2024

77% of Filipinos plan to travel locally, favoring proximity (CEIC 2024 data)
