From meeting with youth leaders and SK officials, participating in City Council and SK Council sessions, to supporting initiatives that promote inclusivity, leadership, and community development, the week has been filled with opportunities to listen, engage, and work together for the betterment of our communities.

✔️ Summer Camp planning meeting with Parian youth campers, GAD Focal Janet Yu, and SK Officials

𝐀𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐟𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐝𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 & 𝐟𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰 𝐂𝐞𝐛𝐮𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐬.💙

The past days were filled with meaningful conversations, collaboration, and commitment to community development and youth empowerment.

📍 We had a productive meeting with RAFI regarding Lakbay Kasaysayan, a cultural heritage initiative that continues to celebrate and preserve the rich history and identity of Cebu for future generations.

📍 We also met with the SK officials of Kalubihan as they officially received their Financial Assistance for CY 2024, which will help support their upcoming council activities and youth-centered programs in the barangay. It is always inspiring to see our young leaders actively serving their communities.

📍 In the City Council Session, we carried out our duties and responsibilities in crafting measures and discussions aimed at improving the welfare of our constituents.

📍 We had a valuable discussion with DILG City Director EnP. Jonah V. Pino, MPA, CESO V regarding SK concerns, coordination efforts, and future activities that will further strengthen youth governance and community participation.

Grateful for the opportunity to serve every single day. The work continues, and we remain committed, fulfilled, and ready for more challenges and opportunities ahead. ✨

Padayon ta sa serbisyo alang sa kabatan-unan Sugboanon!

Last May 5, 2026, we met with the Sugbo Cup basketball referees together with City Councilor Francis Esparis, Sugbo Cup head Hon. Yons Roble and Accounting Department Head Sir Guilbert, to personally hear their concerns and clarify the situation. Proper procedures and complete requirements needed were discussed.

During the meeting, the SK Federation of Cebu City, headed by SKF President Rhea Mae Jakosalem, sincerely apologized for the delay and the inconvenience caused. On the other hand, the referees also expressed their apologies that the concern had already reached the media.

We hear and acknowledge the concerns of our referees. After complying the lacking documents and with the help of Sir Guilbert in expediting the process— 𝐈 𝐚𝐦 𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐡𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐮𝐦 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐚𝐥𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐲 𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐝.

Had a productive meeting with the representatives of Globe Telecom led by Ma’am Lelanie Rosario to explore potential partnership opportunities with our office for the upcoming activities lined up for the rest of the year.

The discussion focused on possible collaborations that can support our programs, strengthen connectivity, and enhance the delivery of services and initiatives for the youth and the community.

With the continued support of Mayor Nestor Archival and his plan to support every Sangguniang Kabataan member in obtaining a driver’s license, I met yesterday with the representative of the Land Transportation Office, Ms. Pearl Gutierrez, to prepare for the upcoming Road Safety Seminar this Saturday. This is aligned with the upcoming implementation of the Theoretical Driving Course (TDC) project aimed at promoting responsible and informed young drivers.

With the upcoming 𝟏𝟔𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐞𝐛𝐮 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩, a coordination meeting was successfully conducted today at the SK Federation Office together with the different offices of Cebu City Hall involved in the activity to ensure its smooth and successful implementation.

Present during the meeting were representatives from the Department of Public Services (DPS), Department of Engineering and Public Works (DEPW), Cebu City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CCDRRMO), Department of General Services (DGS), Local School Board, and the Office of Hon. Labra.

Glad to witness the blessing and opening of the Youth Center of SK Barangay Punta Princesa today, led by their active SK Chairperson Hon. Grace Balbuena together with the hardworking SK Council.

Congratulations to the SK Punta Princesa for this meaningful milestone. May this hub continue to inspire more programs and opportunities for the youth of Punta Princesa.
