The spirit of bayanihan continues on the second day of Brigada Eskwela 2026 as volunteers remain stationed and actively participate in ongoing school preparations for the opening of classes.

In support of environmental sustainability initiatives, paper waste was also carefully segregated for the YES-O project, promoting responsible waste management while contributing to a cleaner and greener school community.

Brigada Eskwela 2026 officially commenced with a Kick-Off Parade, bringing together teachers, learners, parents, and stakeholders in a celebration of unity and shared responsibility as preparations begin for the upcoming school year.

As the first day unfolds, the school community takes its first steps toward creating a safe, clean, and welcoming learning environment, embodying the true spirit of bayanihan through cooperation, service, and collective effort.

As Lahug National High School (Night) officially opens Brigada Eskwela 2026, we invite all learners, parents, teachers, volunteers, and stakeholders to join us in the Kick-Off Parade on 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝟭, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, marking the beginning of 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗮𝗱𝗮 𝗘𝘀𝗸𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗮 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 from 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝟭-𝟱, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲.

Brigada Eskwela is more than an annual tradition. It is a celebration of bayanihan, shared responsibility, and the collective effort of every member of our school community. Through this initiative, we come together with one goal: to help prepare a safe, welcoming, and learner-friendly environment for the opening of School Year 2026–2027.

As we march together during the Kick-Off Parade, let it serve as a symbol of our unity, commitment, and support for quality education. May this activity inspire every Lahugian to take part in making our school a place where learners can grow, succeed, and feel at home.

Let us begin Brigada Eskwela 2026 with enthusiasm, school pride, and a shared vision for a brighter year ahead. Together, we march not only to launch a program, but also to strengthen the bonds that make our school community stronger.

LAHUG SSLG JOINS ASEAN YOUTH FORUM ON DIGITAL RESILIENCE 💻🌏✨

Our incoming SSLG President Maria Ampoon and Vice President Lyka Roa proudly represented Lahug SSLG at TAYO ANG TAYA: Ctrl+Youth – ASEAN Youth Consultative Forum on Digital Resilience held last May 30, 2026.

The forum focused on finding solutions to digital illiteracy, promoting the responsible use of AI, and bridging gaps in community development through technology innovation 🤖📊

Together, we aim to empower youth voices, foster collaboration, and build a society that is inclusive, informed, and digitally resilient 🌐🤝

Last week, young campers gathered for a meaningful and exciting Summer Camp experience filled with learning, teamwork, leadership-building activities, and personal growth opportunities. Among the attendees is our very own Grade 8 Representative Maria Edwina Carcuevas.

She shared that the event aimed to empower the youth by enhancing their confidence, leadership skills, creativity, and sense of responsibility while fostering friendship and community involvement.

Through the initiative and support of Mayor Nestor Archival, this Summer Camp serves as a platform where young individuals can discover their potential, develop their talents, and become future leaders in their communities.

The Supreme Secondary Learner Government of Lahug National High School officially conducted its first meeting for School Year 2026–2027 through video call on May 29, 2026.

The meeting focused on important matters such as Brigada Eskwela tasks, orientation and meet & greet, election of Grade 7 and Grade 11 representatives, SSLG T-shirt discussions, and the upcoming meeting with club governors and officers.

Despite meeting virtually, the officers showed cooperation, participation, and dedication in preparation for a productive and meaningful school year ahead.

𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝟏𝟎 𝐩𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐇𝐨𝐩𝐞

Lahug National High School (Night) SSLG proudly took part in Build Youth - Cebu City’s donation drive for families affected by the recent fire in Sitio Silangan 2, Barangay Tejero, Cebu City. 📦

Through the collective efforts of partner schools, donors, and volunteers, groceries and essential goods worth ₱7,360.75 will be distributed to 35 affected families this Sunday as a symbol of compassion, unity, and hope.

We are grateful to be alongside fellow student leaders from Abellana National High School SSLG and Cebu City National Science High School SSLG in supporting this meaningful cause. This initiative reminds us that even the smallest contributions can create a lasting impact on the lives of others. 🤝

May we continue extending helping hands to communities in need and inspire more people to spread kindness wherever they can.
