"Growing up as a Badjao was not easy. I experienced bullying and discrimination because of my culture and background. Many people underestimated us; there were times when financial struggles made me worry about transportation, food, and school expenses. Despite these challenges, I held on to one dream—to finish my studies and help change my family's future.
I am deeply grateful to the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) of the DSWD for helping me continue my education. The assistance may not have been large, but it gave hope to families like ours and reminded me that education remains within reach for Indigenous Peoples like me. I am also forever thankful to the Nano Nagle Child Care, the Presentation Sisters, and everyone who believed in and supported me. They saw my potential and encouraged me to keep pursuing my dreams. Through hard work, faith, perseverance, and the support of many people, I graduated as a Cum Laude and, by God's grace, became a board passer. My journey is proof that no dream is too far when given the opportunity, support, and determination to succeed."
