This is the page of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office VII and managed by the Social Marketing Service (SMS), which is tasked to disseminate information that will lead in the formulation, implementation, and coordination of social welfare and development policies and programs for and with the poor, vulnerable, and disadvantaged. LOOK: Tatay Artemio, 63, is among the third batch of Walang Gutom Program beneficiaries in the Municipality of Argao, Cebu.

Living with his wife, Tatay Artemio appreciates having more choices for nutritious food through the program. During each Food Redemption activity, they can choose one Grow food, such as pork, chicken, fish, or beef, along with Go and Glow foods.

As a farmer, he also appreciates having a choice between corn rice, which they usually have at home, and white rice available through the Food Redemption Activity. For Tatay Artemio and his wife, the food from the program can complement what they already have from their farm.

LOOK: The Community Engagement Coordinators (CECs) and field staff of the Walang Gutom Program assigned to the municipalities and cities in Bohol and Cebu presented updates on program implementation during their respective City and Municipal Convergence Committee (CCC and MCC) quarterly meetings held throughout September 2026.

The meetings served as an avenue to provide updates, strengthen coordination, and ensure alignment between the Walang Gutom Program, the local government units (LGUs), and other partner agencies in supporting the programโ€™s implementation at the local level.

The CECs and field staff highlighted key program activities and updates, including Food Redemption Activities, Kalusugan, Kakayahan, at Kabuhayan (3K) Sessions, the Unified Package for Livelihoods, Industry, Food, and Transport (UPLIFT), and other program initiatives.

Group 2 beneficiaries of the Unified Package for Livelihoods, Industry, Food, and Transport (UPLIFT) in Daanbantayan, Cebu, received their second tranche of โ‚ฑ2,000 in cash assistance through a manual payout conducted by personnel from the DSWD Field Office 7.

Following the payout, beneficiaries were assisted in registering their preferred Financial Service Provider (FSP) or e-wallet through the UPLIFT G2P application at https://uplift-g2p.dswd.gov.ph/. Available FSPs include GCash, Land Bank of the Philippines, BPI, and PayMaya, offering beneficiaries convenient options for receiving subsequent assistance.

Personnel from the Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI), the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), and the Municipality of Daanbantayan were also present during the activity. Their support, together with the DSWD Field Office 7 team, helped ensure that the payout and FSP enrollment processes were orderly, efficient, and seamless for the beneficiaries. โค๏ธ
