Early this morning, over 100 students of the MHAM College of Medical Technology took part in a meaningful mangrove planting activity at South Road Properties in collaboration with Cebu City ENRO l Cebu City Environment and Natural Resources Office.
Our students planted Avicennia speciesโmangroves known for their resilience and ability to thrive despite harsh environmental conditions such as high salinity, unstable soil, and coastal exposure. In an area challenged by visible waste and environmental stress, this effort serves as a small but significant step toward restoration.
Beyond environmental impact, the activity provided students with a deeper appreciation of ecological responsibility, teamwork, and the vital role of healthcare professionals in community and environmental stewardship.
We extend our sincere thanks to Roy Aporbo, CES Coordinator, for facilitating this collaboration and making this initiative possible. Together, we continue to grow not just as future professionals, but as stewards of our environment. ๐ฑ
