𝐀 𝐭𝐨𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐨𝐟 150 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐋𝐢𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐲 (𝐏𝐃𝐋) 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐰𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐝𝐫𝐮𝐠 𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 through Cebu City Office for Substance Abuse Prevention (𝐂𝐎𝐒𝐀𝐏) headed by Mr. Eric Christian M. Chu.

✅ 𝐀𝐥𝐥 150 𝐏𝐃𝐋 𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐍𝐄𝐆𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐕𝐄, reaffirming the importance of transparency, integrity, and accountability in public service.

Cebu City Jail – Female Dormitory, headed by JSUPT JONNABELLE R TEMPLADO, MPA, Jail Warden, successfully conducted a joint greyhound operation with Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency -7 (PDEA) to ensure a contraband-free and secure environment for all PDL.

The activity yielded 𝐧𝐨 𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐥 𝐝𝐫𝐮𝐠𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐝, reaffirming the facility’s strict enforcement of security measures.

Alongside this, a 𝐃𝐫𝐮𝐠 𝐀𝐛𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐋𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 was facilitated by IO2 Michael Vargas, providing our PDL with vital knowledge on the dangers of substance abuse and the importance of choosing a healthier, drug-free path.

Together, we continue to uphold discipline, awareness, and genuine rehabilitation.

Cebu City Jail–Female Dormitory, in partnership with personnel from the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) and Philippine National Police (PNP), conducted an 𝐀𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐨𝐧 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐞𝐬 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐚𝐭 𝐆𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐧 𝐒𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞.

The 𝐁𝐅𝐏 𝐆𝐮𝐚𝐝𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐩𝐞 𝐒𝐮𝐛-𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐅𝐎1 𝐉𝐡𝐨𝐧 𝐊𝐞𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐨, shared valuable insights on 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, emphasizing the importance of preparedness, responsibility, and vigilance.

Meanwhile, 𝗣𝗦𝗦𝗴 𝗥𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗱 𝗬 𝗔𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿𝗼 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗡𝗣 𝗖𝗲𝗯𝘂 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻-9 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗜𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗿𝘂𝗴𝘀, 𝗗𝗿𝘂𝗴 𝗨𝘀𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗘𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀, encouraging the youth to make informed choices and understand the serious consequences of substance abuse.

More than just an information drive, the activity served as a reminder that leadership begins with good values, responsible choices, and the courage to do what is right.

The week began with a meaningful Monday Flag Ceremony, highlighting the value of UNITY—𝒂 𝒓𝒆𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒐𝒏𝒈𝒆𝒓 𝒓𝒆𝒍𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒉𝒊𝒑𝒔, 𝒔𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒆𝒅 𝒑𝒖𝒓𝒑𝒐𝒔𝒆, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒄𝒐𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒎𝒊𝒕𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒉𝒆𝒍𝒑 𝒃𝒖𝒊𝒍𝒅 𝒂 𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒆 𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒎𝒐𝒏𝒊𝒐𝒖𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒎𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒚.

Meanwhile, as we celebrate October as Community Relations Service (CRS) Month, 𝐉𝐎2 𝐑𝐡𝐞𝐚 𝐃𝐚𝐲𝐮𝐜𝐨𝐬, 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭 𝐂𝐑𝐒 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐫, 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 15𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡 𝐊𝐢𝐜𝐤-𝐎𝐟𝐟 𝐌𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐠𝐞, highlighting the importance of meaningful partnerships, community engagement, and strengthened collaboration between the jail facility and the community.

Bringing more than just services—bringing hope closer to those behind the walls.

The 𝐃𝐈𝐋𝐆 𝐏𝐚𝐠-𝐚𝐬𝐚 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐨: Serbisyo at Katarungan Caravan, an initiative of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) brought together government agencies, private partners, and the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology at the Cebu City Jail – Male, Female Dormitory and Annex on October 1, 2026, to provide essential services, assistance, and information to Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL).

The activity also marked the kick-off of the 𝟏𝟓𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 (𝐂𝐑𝐒) 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡 of the BJMP with the theme, "Empowered Communicators, Engaged Public: Promoting Responsible Messaging in Jail Management", hosted by BJMPRO-VII, highlighting a shared commitment to accessible services, meaningful engagement, and the belief that every person deserves an opportunity to hope, learn, and move forward.
