APAS, CEBU CITY — Karong adlaw, April 8, 2026, Tuesday, nagpahigayon og rescue operation ug barangay intervention ang Barangay Apas sa unom (6) ka menor-de-edad. Human kini sa giingon na paglambigit sa mga maong batan-on sa bag-ong rambol niaging Huwebes Santo dapit sa Sitio NFA, unahan sa CRCI.

Gidala ang mga menor-de-edad sa Barangay Hall aron iproseso, human gidala sa Cebu City PNP Station 4 sa Mabolo aron mahimoan og blotter report. Gipangulohan ang rescue operation ni Kons. Justin Sabaldan, kauban si Apas VAWC Desk Officer Maera Gabo, Police Patrolman Juben Elambayo, ug mga Barangay Tanod sa Apas.

Usa sad kuno sa mga nanguna sa away ang gang sa mga batan-ong taga-Apas nga gitawag nga "Crips" nga giingong kapila na sab nalambigit ug nanguna sa mga rambol.

Subay sa strikto nga mando ni Kap Jing-Jing Cabigon, kasamtanangang nagapahigayon ang Barangay og mas striktong barangay intervention kauban ang mga minor ug ang ilahang mga ginikanan. Sakop niini ang striktong pag-check sa attendance sa mga maong minor sa ilahang mga panimalay sa oras sa curfew matag gabii gikan 10:00 PM hangtod 4:00 AM, mga counseling sessions matag semana, ug uban pang lakang.

Kung dili pa mopatuo ang mga maong minor, sila ug ilahang mga ginikanan posibleng mapasakaan og mga kaso ug intervention sa Cebu City Department of Social Welfare and Services (DSWS), kung asa posibleng parusa ang pagdala sa mga maong minor sa Boys Town ug Operation Second Chance juvenile detention centers.

Makasalig ang publiko nga dili muhunong ang Barangay Apas sa pagtutok sa mga problema sa peace and order, aron masiguro ang kaluwasan sa atong komunidad.

Kung aduna mo'y kaila sa mga family heads o miyembro sa pamilya sa mga family heads nga naa sa listahan, palihug og inform kanila.

➡️ Para sa mga family heads, mahimong i-contact si Mrs. Elvie Pamonag, Office of the Barangay Captain, sa 0994 523 4778 aron matabangan kamo nga iproseso sa DSWD.

➡️ Ang mga beneficiaries kinahanglan magpakita og National ID o, kung wala'y National ID, muagi sa on-site PhilSys authentication.

➡️ Ang matag beneficiary gipahinumdoman sa DSWD nga magdala sa mga mosunod nga dokumento sa matag miyembro sa pamilya, apil pero dili limitado sa mga mosunod:
-- PSA/NSO Birth Certificate;
-- Marriage Contract para sa mga kasado
-- Death Certificate para sa mga namatay
-- PhilSys/National ID para sa tanang miyembro sa pamilya
-- School Attendance Certificate/Valid School ID/Form 138 para sa mga bata nga nagskwela pa
-- Health Attendance Certificate para sa mga mga mabdos ug bata nga 0-5 anyos;
-- PWD ID ug/o medical certificate para sa mga miyembro nga aduna'y disabilidad

Classes at all levels and government office work are suspended, with double pay for private sector workers who report for duty on the said date. All persons with upcoming office transactions with the Barangay are advised to plan their transactions accordingly. 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗺𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗹 𝟭𝟬, 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆.

Government workers in offices involved in frontline services are expected to perform their duties.

The Araw ng Kagitingan, or Day of Valor, commemorates the anniversary of the Fall of Bataan on April 9, 1942. Over 76,000 starving and sick Filipino and American soldiers surrendered to the invading Japanese Empire, before being forced to embark on the infamous Bataan Death March, where an estimated 3,000 prisoners died on the road followed by 25,000 to 30,000 more in captivity. The holiday now honors all Filipino veterans, especially those who fought in World War 2.

Nitabang sa Cebu City DEPW ang mga trabahante sa Apas Barangay Road Maintenance (BRM) nga gipangulohan ni Kons. Rey Suelto, kauban sila Kons. Brian Moncayo ug Kons. Justin Sabaldan.

Nagapasalamat ang Barangay Apas kang Mayor Nestor, sa Cebu City DEPW, ug kang City Legal Officer Atty. Kenneth Jojohn “Champ” Vercide nga ni-abag og facilitate sa atong request.
