Celebrating excellence in the entire tourism value chain, the Department of Tourism Central Visayas Office hosted the Philippine Tourism Awards Regional Citations, recognizing 67 nominees from various tourism industry players in the region on September 28, 2024, at the Cube Wing Atrium of SM Seaside City Cebu.

The Philippine Tourism Awards (PTA) is a recognition program established by the Philippine Department of Tourism under the leadership of Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco. To recall, the PTA was relaunched in February of this year with the aim of becoming the most prestigious award in Philippine Tourism.
In Central Visayas, a total of 67 nominees were endorsed, competing in 24 different categories at the national level. Among the nominees are:

On July 12, 2024, an orientation was held via Zoom with the stakeholders from the Tourism Training Center, Spa, Restaurant, ESL Schools, Tourist Shops, Ambulatory Clinic, and Museums.
