𝗡𝗚𝗔𝗬𝗢𝗡𝗚 𝗛𝗨𝗡𝗬𝗢, 𝗠𝗔𝗚𝗕𝗨𝗕𝗨𝗞𝗔𝗦 𝗔𝗡𝗚 𝗕𝗔𝗚𝗢𝗡𝗚 𝗢𝗙𝗪 𝗟𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗚𝗘 𝗦𝗔 𝗖𝗘𝗕𝗨! 🇵🇭✈️

Kakagaling lamang ng Team OWWA Overseas Workers Welfare Administration sa Cebu kung saan nakipagpulong tayo sa ating partner na Aboitiz InfraCapital para sa nalalapit na pagbubukas ng OFW Lounge Cebu.

Sa ilalim ng direktiba ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. at sa patnubay ni DMW Sec. Hans Leo J. Cacdac, nakatakda nating ilunsad ngayong buwan ang pasilidad na ito upang mas mapalapit ang mga serbisyo ng pamahalaan sa ating mga OFWs.

Bukod sa isang komportable at maayos na espasyo para sa ating mga OFW, maglalagay rin tayo ng OWWA e-Card facility sa lounge upang mas mapadali ang pagkuha ng kanilang e-Card at pag-access sa iba't ibang benepisyo at programa ng OWWA.

Ito ang magiging ikatlong OFW Lounge na inooperate ng OWWA sa ilalim ng programang Alagang OWWA kasunod ng mga OFW Lounge sa NAIA Terminal 1 at NAIA Terminal 3.

Taos-puso rin tayong nagpapasalamat kay First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos at Cebu Governor Pam S. Baricuatro sa kanilang suporta sa proyektong ito na naglalayong mapabuti ang kapakanan ng ating mga migranteng manggagawa.

Ngayong buwan ng Hunyo, buong pagmamalaki nating ipinagdiriwang ang ika-31 Migrant Workers’ Day at National Migrant Workers’ Month bilang pagkilala sa ating mga Overseas Filipino Workers na patuloy na nagbibigay ng pag-asa, oportunidad, at mas magandang kinabukasan para sa kanilang mga pamilya at para sa ating bansa.

Sa temang “𝗕𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗻, 𝗕𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗻𝗶, 𝗕𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗵𝗮𝗻,” pinagtitibay ng OWWA ang ating misyon:

𝗞𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗮, 𝗞𝗮𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗻, 𝗞𝗮𝗯𝘂𝗵𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗻:
𝗠𝘂𝗹𝗮 𝘀𝗮 𝗣𝗮𝗴-𝘂𝘄𝗶 𝗧𝘂𝗻𝗴𝗼 𝘀𝗮 𝗕𝗮𝗴𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘀

Ngayong buwan, ilulunsad ng OWWA ang mga programang nakatuon sa kapakanan, kaalaman, at kabuhayan ng ating mga OFW at kanilang pamilya, kabilang ang:

• Libreng BT-PSSR Training para sa mga seafarers sa pakikipagtulungan sa National Maritime Polytechnic (NMP)

• Paglagda ng mga kasunduang magpapalawak ng skills training at upskilling opportunities para sa OFWs

• Kauna-unahang OFW Kabuhayan Expo 2026 sa SMX Convention Center sa Hunyo 7

• Bahaghari Awards bilang pagkilala sa mga natatanging OFW na nagsusulong ng dignidad, pagkakapantay-pantay, at malasakit sa kapwa

Abangan din ang iba pang mga programa, benepisyo, caravan, training, at espesyal na aktibidad sa iba’t ibang OWWA Regional Welfare Offices at Overseas Welfare Offices para sa ating mga OFW at kanilang pamilya sa buong mundo.

Sa ating mga OFW, maraming salamat sa inyong sipag, sakripisyo, at pagmamahal sa bayan.

Kayo ang ating mga modernong bayani.
Kayo ang tunay na mukha ng bayanihan.

The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration-Regional Welfare Office VII successfully concluded on the Summer Youth Camp 2026 on May 28–29 at the Grand Luis Resort in Dauis, Bohol. The two-day event gathered children of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) for an enriching experience centered on learning, values formation, and camaraderie.

The camp featured a lineup of insightful sessions from distinguished guest speakers. Atty. Johnson Cañete facilitated the core learning and dynamic team-building activities, while Rev. Fr. Jose Conrado Estafia of Stella Maris–Philippines guided the youth through a meaningful values formation session. Additionally, Ms. Gloria Bonite of the Taug-Lila OFW Cooperative delivered a timely talk titled “The Modern Mind: Overload, Survival and Protection.”

Embracing the camp's supportive environment, the young participants enthusiastically engaged in discussions, fellowship, and reflection sessions. The campers openly cooperative spirit allowed them to forge deep friendships while absorbing valuable life lessons. The event concluded with overwhelming gratitude from the participants, who thanked OWWA RWO VII for creating a safe, memorable, and impactful space to connect and grow.

Ang Overseas Workers Welfare Administration-Regional Welfare Office VII dungan nga nagsaulog uban sa minilyon ka mga OFWs sa tibuok kalibutan sa National Flag Days.

Bisan pa man sa kalayo sa inyong nahimutangan, ang kasingkasing sa usa ka Pilipino nagpabilin nga dako og gugma sa yutang natawhan.

Atong ipasigarbo ang simbolo sa atong kagawasan ug kalig-on!

𝐎𝐖𝐖𝐀-7 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 𝐅𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐋𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐎𝐅𝐖𝐬 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐁𝐢𝐲𝐚𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐮𝐫

The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration-Regional Welfare Office VII with its Bohol Satellite Office conducted the “Biyaheng Agripreneur for OFWs and Their Dependents” at IYAAH Eco Farms in San Isidro, Tagbilaran City, Bohol, and Victoria Farm in Sal-ing, Balilihan, Bohol. The activity gathered 73 participants and aimed to encourage OFWs and their dependents to explore agribusiness as an alternative and sustainable source of livelihood.

The program formally opened at IYAAH Eco Farms with welcome remarks from Ms. Dineza Z. Gelle, OWWA 7 OIC-PSD, who encouraged the participants to consider agriculture and agribusiness as viable opportunities for long-term financial stability. This was followed by learning sessions facilitated by Mr. Rober B. Olaer, owner of IYAAH Eco Farms, and Mr. Eduardo Escaboza, who shared their expertise and experiences in farming and oyster mushroom production.

Following the discussions, participants toured the farm and observed demonstrations on the production of organic swine feeds and oyster mushroom cultivation. They also visited various farm areas, including the vegetable garden, fruit-bearing trees, native chicken area, and goat-raising facilities.

Participants then proceeded to Victoria Farm in Balilihan, Bohol. The visit began with a video presentation introducing the farm and its operations, followed by discussions on fishpond water monitoring and sustainable farming practices.

The farm also featured products from local individuals and organizations, particularly the Balilihan OFWs and Dependents Association (BAODA), one of the beneficiaries of the Tulong Puso Program. Their showcased products included processed meat items such as tocino and longganisa.

Participants were then given a tour of the farm’s various facilities, including the vermicomposting area, vegetable garden, egg-laying chicken area, native chicken pens, and tilapia ponds. The activity concluded with an inspirational message from Mr. Edgardo M. Chatto, owner of Victoria Farm, who shared the farm’s mission of empowering the community through agriculture, livelihood opportunities, and the promotion of local products.

Overall, the activity provided participants with valuable learning experiences and inspired them to consider agribusiness as a practical and sustainable livelihood opportunity.
