Brigada Eskwela 2026 Rolls Out with Division-Wide Caravan

Alcoy, Cebu - SDO Cebu Province launches Brigada Eskwela 2026 through a motorcade from Santa Rosa De Lima Church Plaza.
The said event gathers the division officials, LGU officials, district leaders, school principals, school partnership focal persons and stakeholders.
The division caravan showcases the united display of support for the annual nationwide school maintenance and preparation program.
While strengthening community involvement for a sustainable and quality education, the division caravan highlights the collective commitment of DepEd Cebu Province and its partners to ensure that schools are safe, clean, and ready for the opening of classes .
The motorcade is traversing Alcoy's strategic route from the church grounds to Guiwang Elementary School toward Pasol-Pagulo Elementary.
Earlier, the participants attended the thanksgiving mass.
This year, the Brigada Eskwela implementation carries the theme "Bayanihan sa Paralan: Nagkakaisa para sa Kaayusan at Kaalaman."

Anchored on strengthening learner-centered instruction, DepEd Cebu Province conducted the Division-Led Training of Trainers on the Revised Grades 6, 9, and 10 Curriculum from May 25 to 29, 2026, simultaneously at Cebu Business Hotel, Golden Valley Hotel, Crown Regency Hotel, and Alta Cebu Resort.
Through this undertaking, the division ensured that school trainers would be efficiently prepared to impart the knowledge and skills gained from the regional training in the previous weeks.
In support of the national directive on the phased implementation of the Revised K to 10 Curriculum, the said training aimed to equip school trainers with deeper understanding of the revised learning competencies, standards, and pedagogical approaches.
Educators and school leaders across Cebu Province underwent a series of lectures and workshops to ensure effective implementation of the revised curriculum in schools for School Year 2026-2027.
Through the enhanced understanding of the curriculum, teaching strategies, and assessment methods, educators can provide a more responsive and engaging learning environment.
As the training concluded, participants reaffirmed their commitment to delivering quality, transformative, and holistic education to Cebuano learners.
Next week, the division will monitor the district rollout of cascading essential concepts and pedagogies of the revised curriculum.

SDO Cebu holds Flexible Learning Program learning material writeshop
Gearing up for the upcoming School Year 2026-2027, DepEd Cebu Province convened teachers for every learning area during the Flexible Learning Program HELPS (Helping Every Learner Progress and Succeed: Writeshop on Contextualized and Gender-Responsive Learning Activity Sheets for Cebuano Learners on May 18 to 19, 2026 at WaterWorld Hotel, Mandaue City, Cebu.
Schools Division Superintendent Senen Priscilo Paulin spearheaded this banner project to provide quality education even in trying times.
SDS Paulin explained that the undertaking aimed to prepare for days during class suspension.
โEven in the most struggling moments, we can still provide education against all odds,โ SDS Paulin said.
CID Chief Gladys Balagtas and Education Program Supervisor Jennifer Artiaga, Flexible Learning Program Focal Person, along with other education program supervisors guided the participants in realizing this division initiative project.
A total of 510 educators were assigned as learning resource developers.
These teachers designed learning activity sheets to be utilized for alternative learning delivery in times of disasters and other dire situations.
After crafting, the division quality assurance team led by Education Program Supervisor Isaiash Wagas will check the content and other matters adhering to the standards.
SDO Cebu Province ensures learning continuity through the production of the learning resources as the Flexible Learning Program is implemented in the new three-term school calendar.
