ARMY CARES | 14CMOBn SUPPORTS BRIGADA ESKWELA 2026 IN CEBU SCHOOLS

CAMP LAPU-LAPU, Cebu City – Personnel of the 1st Civil-Military Operations Company, 14CMOBn, CMOR, Philippine Army, under the Joint Task Group-Cebu, actively participated in the Simultaneous Brigada Eskwela 2026 in various schools across Cebu Province.

Led by First Lieutenant Krinz Ivy B. Rabi, Company Commander, 1CMOC personnel joined the Brigada Eskwela activities at City Central Elementary School – Ermita Extension under the leadership of Dr. Marivel B. Lacre, PhD, School Principal. Simultaneously, another team from 1CMOC, led by Cpl Juele, participated in the clean-up and maintenance activities at Barangay Tangke National High School under the supervision of Mrs. Jonnabel O. Bendibel, School Principal I.

Meanwhile, the 2nd Civil-Military Operations Company (2CMOC), led by Captain Lea E. Canceran, Company Commander, 2CMOC also took part in the Brigada Eskwela 2026 activities at Mandaue City Central School. The activity was conducted in collaboration with personnel from the Mandaue City Police Office led by PMSg Allan Bacus, together with parents, learners, teachers, and volunteers from various organizations, in the presence of Dr. Louwela P. Guerrero, School Principal.

The activity aimed to assist schools in preparing for the opening of classes by ensuring a clean, safe, and conducive learning environment through various clean-up, repair, and maintenance efforts within the school premises.

Through its active participation, the Philippine Army continues to demonstrate its commitment to community development and nation-building by supporting educational initiatives and strengthening partnerships with schools, local stakeholders, and the community. The successful conduct of Brigada Eskwela 2026 further enhanced civil-military relations and highlighted the spirit of volunteerism and collective responsibility in advancing quality education.

14CMOBn Strengthens Stakeholder Partnership Through Sports Equipment Turnover

CAMP LAPU-LAPU, Cebu City – The 14th Civil-Military Operations “Katipanan” Battalion (14CMOBn), CMOR, Philippine Army received a donation of sports equipment from Global Group Investment and Property Holdings Inc. during a ceremonial turnover held at the battalion headquarters.

The ceremonial turnover was led by Mr. Murlic Sarmiento, Vice President for Business Development and Security of Global Group Investment and Property Holdings Inc., and was formally received by Lieutenant Colonel Norley C. Oropesa, Battalion Commander of 14CMOBn.

Lt. Col. Oropesa expressed his gratitude for the support, noting that the sports equipment will enhance recreational and wellness activities for troops and partner organizations. In recognition of the company’s generosity, the battalion presented a Certificate of Appreciation to Global Group Investment and Property Holdings Inc.

Through initiatives such as this, 14CMOBn continues to foster meaningful relationships with stakeholders committed to nation-building and community development.

ARMY RECRUITMENT OFFICE–VISAYAS CONDUCTS COURTESY VISIT TO 14CMOBn

CAMP LAPU-LAPU, Cebu City – Captain Stewart Cerbo PA, Outgoing Chief, and Major Sonny Boy Reyes PA, Incoming Chief of the Army Recruitment Office–Visayas, Personnel Management Center, Philippine Army, paid a courtesy visit to the Headquarters of the 14th Civil-Military Operations “Katipanan” Battalion (14CMOBn) at Camp Lapu-Lapu, Cebu City.

The visiting officers were warmly welcomed by Lieutenant Colonel Norley C. Oropesa, Battalion Commander of 14CMOBn, together with the unit’s officers and personnel. The visit served as an opportunity to strengthen professional ties and foster collaboration between the Army Recruitment Office–Visayas and the battalion.

During the engagement, both units exchanged insights on their respective programs and initiatives while reaffirming their shared commitment to supporting the Philippine Army’s mission of service, leadership, and nation-building. Discussions also focused on enhancing efforts to encourage qualified youth to join the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), particularly through engagements with local government units (LGUs), universities, and communities within their areas of responsibility.

Furthermore, the participants emphasized the importance of increasing public awareness of the Philippine Army’s various programs and initiatives to promote patriotism, strengthen community support, and provide opportunities for young Filipinos to serve the nation. The activity likewise highlighted the importance of cooperation among Army units in promoting organizational excellence and strengthening public engagement efforts.

The courtesy visit concluded with a reaffirmation of partnership and mutual support, underscoring the Philippine Army’s continuing commitment to unity, professionalism, and effective service to the Filipino people.

CAMP LAPU-LAPU, Cebu City – Demonstrating its unwavering commitment to community development and education, the 14th Civil-Military Operations “Katipanan” Battalion (14CMOBn), under the Joint Task Group-Cebu (JTG-Cebu), actively participated in the opening of the Simultaneous Brigada Eskwela 2026 at City Central Elementary School – Ermita Extension, Barangay Ermita, Cebu City.

Led by First Lieutenant Krinz Ivy Rabi, Company Commander of the 1st Civil-Military Operations Company, 14CMOBn personnel joined teachers, parents, volunteers, and local stakeholders in supporting the Department of Education’s annual school maintenance program spearheaded by Mr. Charlie P. Cabanao, PhD, Faculty President of DepEd. The activity highlighted the spirit of volunteerism and collective responsibility in preparing schools for the opening of classes.

In line with the objectives of Brigada Eskwela, the activity encouraged parents and guardians to enroll their children for the upcoming school year and actively participate in school programs that contribute to the holistic development of students. ARMY CARES | 14CMOBn JOINS BRIGADA ESKWELA 2026 SEND-OFF CEREMONY IN MANDAUE CITY

CAMP LAPU-LAPU, Cebu City – Demonstrating its commitment to supporting education and community development, the 2nd Civil-Military Operations Company (2CMOC) of the 14th Civil-Military Operations “Katipanan” Battalion (14CMOBn), under the Joint Task Group-Cebu (JTG-Cebu), participated in the Brigada Eskwela 2026 Send-Off Ceremony held at Mandaue City Central School, Barangay Centro, Mandaue City, Cebu.

Led by Captain Lea E. Canceran, Company Commander of 2CMOC, the Katipanan Troopers joined personnel from the Mandaue City Police Office headed by PMSg Allan Bacus, together with parents, students, teachers, and volunteers from various organizations in supporting the Department of Education's annual school preparation program. The activity was conducted under the theme, “Bayanihan para sa Paaralan: Nagkakaisa para sa Kaayusan at Kaalaman,” in the presence of Dr. Louwela P. Guerrero, School Principal.

As part of the initiative, participants assisted in the cleaning, repair, and preparation of school facilities to ensure that classrooms and learning spaces are ready for the opening of classes. The collective effort highlighted the spirit of volunteerism and community cooperation in creating a safe, secure, and conducive learning environment for students and educators.

14CMOBn HIGHLIGHTS CMO INITIATIVES AND COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS DURING RADIO GUESTING

CAMP LAPU-LAPU, Cebu City – The 14th Civil-Military Operations “Katipanan” Battalion (14CMOBn), under the Joint Task Group-Cebu (JTG-Cebu), continued its efforts to strengthen public awareness and community engagement through a radio guesting at GMA News Cebu in Apas, Cebu City, featuring First Lieutenant Bhea Docyogen, CMO Support Platoon Leader.

During the interview, 1Lt Docyogen discussed the ongoing Civil-Military Operations initiatives of the battalion across Cebu and highlighted the various programs and activities being implemented to support local communities. She emphasized that the role of soldiers extends beyond traditional military duties, noting that many personnel are actively engaged in activities that promote community development, public service, and nation-building.

Furthermore, 1Lt Docyogen reiterated the battalion’s commitment to collaboration and partnership, encouraging local government units, non-government organizations, academic institutions, and other stakeholders to coordinate with 14CMOBn for future activities and community-based programs.

The radio guesting served as an avenue to inform the public about the mission and accomplishments of the battalion while reinforcing the Philippine Army’s commitment to fostering stronger ties with communities through responsive, people-centered, and service-oriented Civil-Military Operations.

ARMY ACTS | 14CMOBn FACILITATES BARILI YOUTH LEADERSHIP SUMMIT 4.0, EMPOWERING FUTURE LEADERS

CAMP LAPU-LAPU, Cebu City – The 14th Civil-Military Operations “Katipanan” Battalion (14CMOBn), under the Joint Task Group-Cebu (JTG-Cebu), facilitated the successful conduct of the Barili Youth Leadership Summit (BYLS) 4.0 at Balao National High School, Barili, Cebu, led by First Lieutenant Krinz Ivy Rabi, Company Commander of the 1st Civil-Military Operations Company. The summit gathered aspiring youth leaders from across the municipality and provided a platform for leadership development, civic engagement, teamwork, and personal growth.

The activity was highlighted by the Barili Mayor Pablo John Garcia and Third District Congresswoman Karen Garcia, who encouraged participants to become active contributors to community development and nation-building. Through various team-building activities, banner and yell-making competitions, and interactive workshops, delegates strengthened their camaraderie while developing essential leadership and communication skills.

As part of the summit’s learning sessions, representatives from the Civil Relations Group, Armed Forces of the Philippines conducted a discussion on the significance of the West Philippine Sea, emphasizing its importance to Philippine sovereignty, national security, and future generations. Participants also attended a Voters’ Education Seminar led by Mr. Adam Lester Patajo and a Self-Awareness Talk by former PYAP President Aiphrelle Uy, which promoted responsible citizenship, informed decision-making, emotional intelligence, and values-based leadership.

On the second day, delegates participated in physical fitness activities and disaster preparedness training facilitated by the Bureau of Fire Protection, equipping them with practical skills for emergency response and community service. They also attended a youth empowerment session entitled “YOUth Can Lead” by Mr. Marjun Taran, inspiring them to embrace leadership through service and active participation in their communities. The summit was further honored by the presence of Municipal Mayor Hon. Pablo John “John-John” Garcia IV, who expressed the local government's commitment to empowering the youth.

During the closing ceremony, First Lieutenant Krinz Ivy Rabi served as the Guest of Honor and Speaker, delivering an inspiring message on leadership, civic responsibility, patriotism, and positive values. She encouraged the participants to become agents of positive change and responsible leaders in their respective communities. The successful conduct of BYLS 4.0 underscores the continuing partnership between the Philippine Army, local government units, and youth organizations in developing future leaders committed to community development and nation-building.
