| Today, November 9, 2025, at 2:06 PM, the USJ-R Supreme Student Council 44th Congress, thru the USJ-R SSC Office of the President, formally submitted a comprehensive report and 7-Point Policy Proposal to the University Administration.

The document details the consolidated findings of the Rapid Damage Assessment Survey conducted from November 5 to 7, 2025, among Josenians affected by Typhoon Tino. The report provides key findings covering student demographics, access to basic utilities, household recovery progress, and student feedback on academic continuity.

This policy proposal is designed to facilitate a gradual, humane, and secure transition to face-to-face learning. This ensures that the welfare and preparedness of the entire Josenian community remain the central focus of the decision-making process.

The following are the submitted policy recommendations:

A. Major Appeals
1.) Retain The Existing Academic Calendar Ending Within December
2.) Waive The Midterm Examinations
3.) Implementation of Academic Leniency Measures: No Grade Cutoffs and No-Fail Policy for Midterms
4.) Gradual Transition to Face-to-Face Classes

B. Minor Appeals
5.) Allow Leniency to The Uniform Policy
6.) Psychological Debriefing and Support Initiatives
7.) Leniency on Book Requirements

Thanks to your love and support, our donation drive for the 6.9 Earthquake victims in Medellin and Daanbantayan raised ₱36,602.75 and reached 100 families with relief packs last October 4, 2025! Despite the heavy traffic and a 24 hour travel time, our student volunteers and alumni has successfully delivered all of the relief packs to those in need🩵

We would like to thank our partners, Cebu Librarians Association Inc. and Josenian Library and Information Science Alumni Association for making this donation drive possible🫶
