EARTHQUAKE INCIDENT | April 6, 2026

Following a magnitude 5.1 earthquake that struck Bogo City and was felt by students and personnel of the University of Cebu – METC at around 3:22 p.m. today, April 6, 2026, the University of Cebu directed all students and employees to go home, based on an announcement from the Vice Chancellor for Academics.

Students promptly followed safety protocols, and the Emergency Response Team (ERT) assisted the safety office in assessing the situation and ensuring everyone's safety. The team monitored campus areas, guided students to safe zones, and responded immediately to any urgent situations.

We commend the ERT's swift response and the students' cooperation. This serves as a reminder of the importance of preparedness and staying calm during emergencies.

Sinulog Festival Deployment 2026

We carried out our assigned role throughout the Grand Solemn Procession and the Grand Sinulog Festival, contributing to the overall coordination and safety efforts during one of the most significant cultural events of the year. Our involvement was guided by responsibility, teamwork, and a shared goal of supporting the well-being of the community while upholding the values of our organization.
