World Environment Day 2026

The Barangay Affairs Office proudly joins the celebration of World Environment Day 2026, reaffirming its commitment to advancing sustainable practices at the grassroots level.

In partnership with the City Government, selected pilot barangays actively participated in the Materials Recovery Festival, showcasing their initiatives on solid waste management heavily anchored on proper segregation, recycling, and community-driven solutions. These efforts reflect a unified approach in addressing the growing waste crisis.

This initiative underscores the City’s continuing drive to institutionalize waste segregation at source, strengthen barangay-level implementation, and promote a culture of environmental responsibility among constituents.

Let’s work together to solve Cebu City’s waste crisis.

Strengthening our communities starts with preparedness.

The Barangay Affairs Office is currently conducting the Barangay Base Responders Seminar in coordination with the Cebu City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office at the 9th floor of the Executive Building of the Cebu City Hall.

We aim in equipping our barangay frontliners with essential knowledge on disaster preparedness, fire safety, emergency response, and life-saving skills such as CPR.

Together, we build safer, responsive and disaster prepared barangays.
